*WARNING! Totally unprofessional overview ahead*

The whole trilogy reminds me of Inside the Shadow City : simple breesy writing style, rapid female protagonist, mystery and historical aspect involved, what more can i want? Though the plot is still kind of far fetched, but the characters themselfs don't make much of deal out of anything XD

My suggestion is: read the whole series carefully and try to guess who the main villian is.

PS - I failed. Though it was obvious (((
PPS - as 'review folk' says: 5\5 stars XD

Sydney Humphrey (bjjgirl) I'm actually going to pick this book up from the library this afternoon! Super excited for it!!

Kim Anderson (kimmatski) I have read the first two, but haven't made it to the third yet. I don't know what it is about this series, but each time, as I'm reading, I'm really enjoying it. But for whatever reason, the series doesn't leave me scrambling to get the next book like many other series do. However, when I got the 2nd book, I again enjoyed it, but haven't ran to my library yet to pick up the 3rd.

I don't always enjoy historical fiction, so I think this is what prevented me from picking this book up earlier than I did. I had it in my head that I wouldn't enjoy it. However, the majority of the first two books take place in modern day, so it was totally fine and all in my head. I enjoy reading about the struggles of trying to play it off as if you're from whatever year you've traveled back in time to. The research that the author must have had to do to get the costumes described in such a detailed way is kind of mind-blowing if you think about it.

Svetlana, I am glad to read your post about trying to guess who the main villain is. I have to say that I'm still pretty confused about what's going on, but now you have me a little more excited to pick up the 3rd book.

I feel you bro about not wanting to pick up the next book (( the same thing happended to me few days ago, that's frustrating, I'm glad my so called overview wasn't a waste of space)) *maybe we could arrange the second and the thrid book for the July readalong, who knows XD*

I made myself a challenge - I'm gonna listen to all Kerstin Gier's books in German! That's gonna be tough!

Sydney Humphrey (bjjgirl) I just realized that I never posted my thoughts about the book on this thread! I read this book earlier this month and really enjoyed it. Time travel books are some of my favorite, so I'm probably a little biased, but I finished Ruby Red in no time and have already requested the other two books of the trilogy from the library.
