That's right, you're still hobbled. Hope it's not too much of a pain reading on your phone.

How is everyone else doing??

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Checking in. I actually finished a book and got in a little house keeping before booting up my laptop so I would not feel so guilty about spending the rest of the weekend reading. I finished the last 136 pages of I Heard That Song Before. It is my "I" book for the ABC challenge. I was going to stop reading it until the Toppler was over, when I realized that it fit into a task. I am going to start on Dear Mr. Darcy: A Retelling of Pride and Prejudice

Cherie - I hate to tell you, but if you started I Heard That Song Before before the Toppler, it won't count.

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Hot, hard, sexy, wet, throbbing, aroused...yep, I finished Chance Encounter :D But I have to say, the ending was a bucket of cold water, when Ally said "I hope we're making a baby.", YUCK!

message 68: by Debra (new)

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments I finished reading A Walk to Remember and have written a verse of a love song dedicated to my recently departed little kitty, Lucy.

A walk to remember down Lucy lane,
Tears shed in her gold lion's mane.
Her light will shine until the end of time,
Bright eyes speaking of a soul sublime.
In Heaven's stars above,
She will bask in our love,
Again at the Rainbow Bridge,
On a sunny, grassy ridge.

Very very sweet Debra. We have a cat and a dog nearing the end now and it is a very poignant time.

Beth (eparks4232) | 2562 comments I've been trying to read while entertaining a 5 year old today and it's not going well. Things have picked up in the last couple hours, though, when I realized The History of Love was sitting out of sight on a table. I started this instead of The Stone Diaries and am whizzing through it. Should be done before I go to sleep.

April | 970 comments Hmmmmm.......Just as I was sitting down to read, the phone rang. It was my parent's relator wanting to show the house! Sooooooo, I had to put the book the aside and clean like crazy! When I finally did get started, I realized that The Evidence Against Her: A Novel isn't exactly a page turner. sigh....... BUT, I need to finish this book because I think I may have a spine poem! Tomorrow there is a 2 hour open house which means cleaning again and trying to find a place a go with 2 dogs. Sigh....... LOL

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Connie wrote: "Cherie, that looks like an interesting book."

It really is, Connie! It is all written as letters from all of the characters. It is really entertaining and well written, I think. I had to buy it when I saw it in the book store a couple of weeks ago. The last P&P version I read was Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It was a retelling too. The last real version I read was a couple of years ago, when I got my 1st Nook. I bought a book of all of Jane Austin's books and Pride and Prejudice was the 1st one I re-read. It is my favorite of all of hers.
