Am still reading chapter five so i can't say anything about them. And the story is so fast paced that there is not much character development.:/

The only likeable character so far is Myron. So full of knowledge and yet so pure of heart.

Alric is arrogant and his sister is a mystery.

Riyce and Hadrian, don't know about them. They are there whole time yet I don't feel a strong connection between them.

I agree with Manju, Royce and Hadrian seems like puppet, doing things for the sake of plot, and they easily believed princess then afterwards Alric. one would argue thieves so famous should have more common sense.

And then there is speech, they seem to talk a lot and reveal more than they ought to be,leaving nothing for imagination.

@Utkarsh: Exactly its the story that is so fast pace and things are changing so quickly that am ignoring the "character development" part for now.

They have no choice but to trust Arista or they would be dead next morning but yes I agree with the common sense part.

Writing is not very impressive.

I didn't like the wizard either. Resembled Gandalf too much.
The prince and princess were nothing that interesting.

Royce was good sometimes. But others were not

Am enjoying the fast pace. The two thieves are not at all formidable.Alric seems a spoilt brat. Myron is quite likeable,but his naivety is not convincing. I am okay with the storyline as it is captivating and The lack of character development doesn't bother me much.

Chapter 5: Esrahaddon

Thou asked for an interesting character and thy wish was granted! :P
Esrahaddon is weird. Good weird. But everything just happened way too fast in that prison. As I was saying before, things are getting done very easily in this book. A man in 900 years of captivity is breached out of the prison without much fuss/effort!

Overall, till now, my feelings are similar to that of Smitha. The pace is super fast that does not leave room for some essential character and world building but I still remain interested in the plot so I can make everything else work. Let's see how we feel by the time we reach the end.

I hope the magic system is explained properly later somewhere. I just cannot be satisfied by someone doing magic and me not knowing how!

I stopped at 30%. Sorry Utkarsh and Manju. Just couldn't continue. Unable to concentrate on the story. So taking a break from this one.

glad to hear, Gordon. Manju too has finished. I happened to lose thread as I had a couple of busy weeks, and later, however much I tried, I just couldn't resume.
