Hoping to *With fingers crossed*:1. Finish Chobits: Omnibus, Vol. 1 today.
2. Then complete Chobits: Omnibus, Vol. 2 by Wednesday.
3. Read The Dragon's Path/Leviathan Wakes (Just The Dragon's Path protion) by Sunday.
4. Start Magic Bleeds on Monday.
So, of course, it probably won't happen, but one can hope. lol

Sinistmer wrote: "Started Magic for Beginnersyesterday."I need to start this soon. I won a copy from GoodReads.
I just finished up Murder of Crows and I'm a little paused on Fate's Edge.Still writing my review for Magic Burns and then I'll write a few more to clear me up for some new reading.
I'm half way through The Troop, so I'm only... 10 months late on the group read. :P But just in time for catch up month! :D

:-D
I just finished Shadow and Bone and will continue with the series (so good!). Then I'm thinking about picking up either Prince of Fools or The Final Empire books/series... Or both!
Although I started it in January, I still have a story and the epilogue to go of Storm Season. I liked the last story I read which is by Janet Morris - nice blend of magic, intrigue and murder! Also reading Shadowlands, which I started at the end of March, and Masques Two which I started last month. I seem to be a restless reader lately, but I've also been doing some academic (non-book) reading which has impinged on my leisure reading time.

It's kinda interesting, though - especially for me in that I'm seeing a lot of comparisons between it and Supernatural, which is kinda funny.

I think you may have picked up on something I had missed... namely, who the author was. :-/
Finished Six-Gun Tarot last night. Prolly gonna give it 2.5, but I'm waffling on whether to round up or down. The biggest complaint I had with it is the writing... well, two things:
1) A slow-build which suddenly seemed to jump forward and rush the ending
2) Seemingly written as a "start of a series", meaning lots of set-up, but the pay-off wasn't really there.

Now reading Of Noble Family, the last of the Glamourist Histories. I'll miss this series, I think.

And here I just thought you were shocked that I embraced a recommendation/enthusiasm so readily. ;)

No Cherie Priest? I've not read her.

Laurel's a big fan, though.

Ahhh
Starting Magic Strikes and *thinking* of moving on to Vision in Silver. But I really need to finish my review before they all get combined in my head. Also, Marked in Flesh isn't out until March 2016. And they are NOT allowing Amazon to do pre-orders!! Only Barnes & Noble, Books A Million, IndieBound, Powell's and Walmart.
Suggestions for a good retailer for a pre-order? Though...if I had the ability to pre-order it via Amazon I would (normally) get a discount PLUS wouldn't have to pay til shipment PLUS I get guaranteed delivery on release day.
Becky wrote: "Why are they excluding Amazon?"IDK but it's super annoying. Cause I can just click a button and have that shit pre-ordered.
There's a BAM near hubby's job that I can send him in to pick up a book for me...but THEN I gotta hear his mouth about the price AND I gotta make sure he packs properly for a metro ride.
AND I'd have to go to the city to make the order.
There's a B&N near my house. I can swing by there. I don't have a B&N account, so...
You shouldn't need an acct to do a preorder - and they should deliver to you the same as Amazon would. It just might not be the same price. :(

Still on Oath of Swords, which is currently free as an e-book. Enjoying it, but I don't have much time to read, partly because of working extremely hard, and mostly because of The Witcher 3.

Supernatural the TV series? I's been a while since I've seen that. But that makes the book seem more interesting.

Mostly in the way that it blending mythologies and spiritualies, but still seemed to put Judeo-Christian as the biggest/truest one, and some of the specifics reminded me of some plot elements - like the Eve/purgatory season and the upcoming season, actually.

I'm intrigued about the blending of mythologies even if one is dominant so I'll definitely grab this book if I see it.
Also finished Storm Season. I gave it 4 stars but it might take me a week or two to get around to writing my review.
I think I've read Storm Season before. Years and years ago.I do plan to (eventually) re-read the Thieves' World series and novelizations. Maybe even collect them.

I have volume 5 in the series so I might get to that this summer. There are a lot volumes to collect though!
I know. [insert evil laughter] I do remember loving this series, though. Occasionally I get scared that the suck fairy will come visit if I re-read them.
My favorite is Shadowspawn. He cemented my love for "good hearted" assassins.

Interesting you say that, as the last story in Storm Season is about Shadowspawn and he had a fleeting appearance elsewhere in the book. I know he appeared in a couple of earlier volumes but it's too long ago since I read them to remember any details. But he is certainly an interesting character - well-connected with the gods!

I kinda, sorta started Mr. Mercedes, but am mostly actually reading The Master Magician, the conclusion (*pout*) of the Paper Magician trilogy.
I finished Murder of Crows and now I should be starting Vision in Silver but I don't want to. Book 4 is too far away. :-(
After Magic for Beginners (which wasn't bad, but I didn't love), I have been on a YA kick. Currently reading [book:An Ember in the Ashes|20560137.

Maybe not over-hyped (or maybe...), just definitely not what I was looking for.
Currently reading In the Night Garden by Catherynne M. Valente for another group read. The stories are interesting, but if I'm not really paying attention, it's easy to lose track of where you are.

Ida, I was also not particularly impressed. It's a cool idea on paper, and I liked the setting. But the actual execution was not impressive.
Currently reading The Fellowship of the Ring and short of finishing The Black Prism, also listening to a murder mystery for a change Outrage
Hubby has been trying to read the Goblin Emperor but is hating it so far.I've been feeling moody and can't get into anything.
Just finished the new Thor #1 and Thor #2 and was about to start Thor #3 when I remembered I had to work. Blech.
Just finished a very long read: The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists by Robert TressellMoving on to Pastoral by André Alexis

Still reading In the Night Garden. Did not get as much reading done during my trip as hoped. (I ended up putting on the TV for background noise, and then getting sucked into what was on. Plus there was the Skyping.)It's not a bad book. It's quite cool, in its way, that you can't really latch on to any particular character since it's more like short stories stitched together.
The main reason it's taking so long is that it's one of those books which I'm into it and compelled while I'm reading, but when I do put it down I don't feel a great urge to pick it back up again.
I'm
