Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9516 comments Need help finding the next book to read? Here are two websites that will help, posted on one of my FB groups. I was hesitant to try because I always have a long list to choose from for my next book, but guess how long I was able to resist checking them out, LOL...

Ann (annrumsey) | 16993 comments Interesting links Carol! Like you I will not need more new book suggestions but couldn't resist looking at these.
The first was optimized for mobile and was fun to test with Karin Slaughter as the author to find "like" books. The suggestions of Lisa Jackson, mo Haydor, Harlan Coben, Tami Hoag and several others with specific books to consider and buy were decent suggestions.
*I can see it working in reverse too by entering the name of an unfamiliar author or book and seeing what the algorithms come up with for comparisons.
The second link was not optimized for mobile and wasn't as easy to maneuver so I'll check it out later on a bigger screen.

Shomeret | 1495 comments The first link was not very successful for me because of my niche interests. I chose Tibetan mystery author Eliot Pattison because he's less obscure than the author of my favorite book of 2015 (so far), Olivier Truc.

I got two results and the first link pointed me to a list of similar titles on Amazon rather than the book itself.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9516 comments I hadn't thought of that, Ann, that's a very interesting tip that could be quite useful. I have so much to read that reading a new author is a challenge, so this would help me place him/her.
