Any thoughts on how many tags a quote should have?

In my opinion this quote is bordering on the insane:

Someone posted about this a few days ago I think.

I agree it's a little much. It looks like someone was treating the quote tags like they would the meta data on a website that makes your site searchable to search engines. It almost makes me wonder if the author doesn't have a Social Media/Internet Marketing guy running his Goodreads account.

I don't see why any quote would need more than 10 tags. Even to me, that's too many. But I'd be willing to set it that high because I know some people just love their silly tags.

I don't understand what his subject is so maybe this is his thing. I'm happy to leave these tags untouched. Mostly. The thing that surprised me first was that the system would even allow that quantity of text as tags.

And your talking behind someone's back (withing such a group) borders on defamtion. That is an abuse withn itself that far exceeds your bounds of being there to help. So, no one told me, no one contacted me ... you much prefer to tittle-tattle. You are more cared abiut this so-called abuse of tags, yet you are the one with double standards. Actually, Rivka is a staff member. So commenting here is definitely within her responsibilities.

As for the thread itself, part of the use of the Librarian group is to create/modify policies so Librarians are consistent in how they edit book data. So until a consensus is reached, or the staff makes a definitive decision, there is no solid reason to contact the creator of a quote.
