Can someone explain "popular shelves"?

The 'popular shelves' will change as more people add your book their personal shelves. The popular ones shown are the shelves most people have your book on.
I've been trying to figure out WWID, but I'm at a loss!

I've done a quick Google, and it might stand for What Would I Do?
But that's still not overly clear, unless it's short for 'what would I do if I wasn't afraid?'.
Or maybe World We... something.

How about We're Walking in Dreamland? or Wait, Wait, I'm Dizzy!

If anyone has a factual answer to that question, I'd think it would be GOODREADS itself, or those who run it! Maybe contact the organization.

Yep, mine has around 900. I read a lot of books last year and like I stated before my to-read shelf is really more like an I'm interested in shelf.

Here's the link, Vicki: Criminal Decision It's about a heroic mom out to save her little girl against all odds. It's based on true cases I covered as a journalist. Thanks for the good wishes!

Don't ever get discouraged. Every time somebody sees your name or the title of your book, it's in their head someplace. Once word of mouth starts to spread, they'll hear it or see it again and remember they saw it first and it looked good. It takes time...and endless patience...but if you use both to the best of your ability, it pays off. :)

I'm sure you're right, Melodie. Patience has never been one of my virtues, but I'm biting the bullet. I'm hoping at least a couple of my giveaway winners will give me reviews.

Was asking my self a similar question about the number of books people actually end up reading from their to read list.
I am doing a giveaway of my book and getting loads of people adding it and marking it to read. Two have actually read it from about 200 so far.
I am another author looking for a break and finding it quite difficult to get my book out there.
I've asked this question on a couple of other GR pages and never got an answer. Hope someone can help!
