The woman is a rapid racist. Her appointment of McKetrick shows that she doesn't want to get her own hands dirty but is more than willing to give him the leeway he needs to attack supernaturals. Definitely some shades of the Nazis here.
I wasn't surprised by her decision to appoint McKetrick. She's a slimy character and it was completely in keeping with her prejudicial attitudes. She is not a favorite character of mine! This caused me a great deal of anxiety on behalf of the supernaturals. This does not bode well for them!
What confounds me is the arrogance of these people to think they could ever out fight the supernaturals if it came to a showdown. Plus, they've always been there. Think people!
The mayor is an idiot and she's primed for going down. I agree with Lauren with the Nazi comparison...difference breeds fear which causes the fearful to just eliminate them. To declare one race superior over another is just ignorant. I also find it hard to believe that humans collectively support this fool.

It is arrogance but there is also the argument that the only way the supernaturals would be able to overcome the sheer numbers of humans is if they band together and that isn't something that we are seeing yet.
