I think this is my first challenge. Trying for 3 books. I hope I remember to post again by the end of the month! And thanks, Lisa Kay!
I've read 1/3:

4.5 stars; this started slow, but by the end I loved it and didn't want it to end. One of my favorites in this series.

So, instead I read A Summer in Sonoma 2 stars This was disappointing, as I'd heard a lot of good things about Carr's books. Not only was the book not set in Sonoma (there were a few scenes there), but there was so little setting detail that the book could otherwise have been set anywhere. There were too many characters for me, and it seemed to be women's fiction, with all the characters and points of view, so that the sex scenes seemed superfluous. I never connected to most of the characters, and ended up skimming some of it. I would have preferred a book just about the first character that was introduced (Cassie). Anyone know if Carr's Virgin River books are different than this?

Sure, Ashwini!

Thinking of you and happy you're getting those books read!

Item: Road-Trip (She take a journey returning home and discusses several road trips throughout the book)

4**** A very funny, insightful book. Rhoda makes you see things from her perspective and just plain makes you laugh out loud. She is one who definitely makes lemonade out of the lemons that life throws at her! Going to get her follow up book now!!
