Book 1, Chapters 1-11: (view spoiler)[ This book is going really slow so far. I hope that the story picks up soon because so far I'm finding it a bit of a bore. I've seen some reviews that say that the book starts off slow and gets much better, and I'm looking forward to that. I'm not sure how I feel about Gabriel right now, and I think I'll form an opinion by the time I'm halfway through. Adin seems quite annoying so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing how Nate comes into Gabriel's story. (hide spoiler)]

Book 1, Chapters 12-22: (view spoiler)[ I definitely expected Dr Cymru turning on the brothers and proving that Nate was right, but I didn't expect him to use Adin as part of his experiments. I knew something was going to happen with Susan - there's no way she just showed up at the same hotel as Gabriel coincidentally. Everything about her seemed fishy. I really want to know who Kyrie's dad is - maybe Nate has a daughter? That would definitely be interesting. Things are definitely starting to pick up! (hide spoiler)]

Book 1, Chapters 23-33: (view spoiler)[ This book has gotten quite a bit more interesting. I really want to know what's going on with Adin. It's been a while since Dr Cymru captured him so I'm wondering what's going on. I'm pretty confused about what just happened on the ranch. We know they were looking for the lab, but who were they anyway? That shield thing that Gabriel did was pretty impressive. Seems like soon he'll be some invincible superhuman. I was a bit unimpressed at first about the concept of this book but it's definitely getting better. It would be cool if Gabriel met some other people that also have ores embedded in them, but another colour. Excited to finish this! (hide spoiler)]

I just wanna say I love reading your thoughts throughout the book and then comparing them to the events throughout the rest of it and the second one(cause I finished them both) And it's not just comparing them, but you have really good questions or queries I guess and half the time I feel like you're echoing the thoughts I had while reading. Not really a spoiler thought about the book but I just thought that was cool. Hahah :D

Book 1, Chapters 34-end: (view spoiler)[ That ending was pretty good! I expected some final showdown, maybe with Gabriel taking out a bunch of guards with some new badass power, but I didn't expect Cymru to show up. I'm glad that old man is dead now, he really was irritable. I want to know what happened with Adin - we know he has a piece of ore embedded in him now, and I'm curious as to what type it is and what he can do with it. It probably isn't white because it's really rare... I'm sort of hoping they found a way to embed black ore in him, cause that would be pretty cool. I liked the ending, but the last sentence seemed a bit weak. I'll be starting the next book within the next few days. (hide spoiler)]
