How can normal life go on after reading this series?

I have most recently read the entire Sword of Truth series. I feel as though my whole world was shattered and put together in a whole new way.I feel as though I now live my life through morals and ideals that came purely from this book.

I'm not 100% positive that this is normal. If anyone else has anything to say about this at all, id be much appreciated.
