ABANDONED. A girl with magic, and a loom that she uses to weave

I read this book years ago. I thought about it last week, and I cannot remember the name of the book or the author. I do remember that the plot was centred on a girl with red hair and she had magic, and she expressed this magic through weaving. I know she had a loom that she cherished.

I think I remember the beginning of the book starting out with her at her home (possible on a farm or some rural area) and somebody finds out she has magic in the beginning while she is in the mountains or something. She might have the power of fire. Anyway, the people that discover her magic want her. So she goes with them after they made some sort of deal I think. I remember the book had many kingdoms.

Please help! This is driving me crazy.

When you say "years ago", how many years? Was it a new book at the time or an older one? Aimed at adults or more YA? Anything about the cover? Do you recall how old the main character was?
