Carlisa Cramer (carlisajc) | 1 comments Is it also known as "Where the Moon Isn't"? I think they're the same book but I'm not 100% sure.

YES! Sorry. It's also Where the Moon Isn't.

Heather Lawson (teevee) I'm excited about this one as it's a book that's been on my TBR for a while AND it's the first one that I'm actually going to be able to read along with you guys since I'm finally done with university for this year!

Yay!! I'm so excited you get to join us this time!

Stefani Sloma (stefanisloma) Hey guys! So how's the book coming along? I've just started it today at work (I know, I'm behind! Sorry!) but I can barely put it down to write this. It's absolutely fascinating and strange and really good. What do you guys think?

Also, send me suggestions for next month ASAP!

Heather Lawson (teevee) I found it difficult to get into at first, but found the haphazard narrative - the jumping back and forth - to be quite interesting. I really enjoyed it by the time I was done.

Really? I was sucked in almost immediately and flew through 100 pages in no time. I'm thinking I'll probably finish it today. I'm glad you enjoyed it though! I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Ashley (heyyitsashley_) I'm actually not enjoying it as much as I was hoping. It's kind of confusing and I don't really like the writing style. I honestly have no clue what is going on most of the time. I constantly feel like I'm missing something. :(

I think the confusion is part of the point. You are supposed to feel like Matthew does: confused, scared, unsure what's real. I haven't finished it yet, but I feel like we won't know what's actually happened until the end.

Stefani Sloma (stefanisloma) Hey everyone! Okay, so it's nearing the end of the month (I hope you've all had a wonderful June so far!), which means we need to figure out when we'd like to have our chat! How does this Saturday or Sunday work for everyone? Which day (at what time) would be better? Let me know and we'll try to get it so you can all come!

Also, please try to get some nominations for July's read in to me as soon as possible. I'm nominating Every Day by David Levithan and An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. :) I'll have the poll go up on Wednesday if you can all get me your nominations in by then!

Selah (abibliophilesstyle) My suggestion for July is Uprooted by Naomi Novik.

Stefani Sloma (stefanisloma) Selah wrote: "My suggestion for July is Uprooted by Naomi Novik."

Added!

Maren (pennma05) I won't be able to do a chat this weekend as I'll be camping and I don't have a lot of things to say about this book anyways.

My July suggestion is: Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Ashley (heyyitsashley_) I'm free for the chat on Sunday.

July Suggestions: The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler OR Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson.

message 16: by Niki Hawkes (new)

Niki Hawkes - The Obsessive Bookseller My nomination is Under the Empyrian Sky by Chuck Wendig.

Stefani Sloma (stefanisloma) ALL of those have been added. :) Ashley, I added both of your suggestions so we have a large pool of options.

If you haven't given me a suggestion yet, make sure you get to it to me TODAY. The poll goes up tomorrow morning.

Stefani Sloma (stefanisloma) Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone would be up for a chat about The Shock of the Fall this weekend?

Ashley (heyyitsashley_) I can do Sunday if you want to have the chat.

Stefani Sloma (stefanisloma) Ashley wrote: "I can do Sunday if you want to have the chat."

Sunday works for me. Anyone else?

Stefani Sloma (stefanisloma) Sorry, guys! I only saw the one comment for wanting to do the chat today and I just completely forgot. If you guys are still interested in having a chat for the book, let's schedule it for this week. Again, I'm sorry.
