He laughed softly and put a plate off food down for her," yes I suppose I do."
She took the plate and smiled happily, "Thank you." she said hapily.
"You're welcome." He answered sitting down on the other end of the couch and eating his own food
She took a small bite, her gaze remaining on the tv.
Harley just kept her head rested by Emily's knee
Emily finished the food before slowly putting down the plate and laying back down next to Harley, her hand resting on the dog's head as she fought to keep her eyes open.
Harley moved closer to the small girl nuzzling her hand softly while Tobias watched with a smile
She fell asleep, unable to watch the tv. She curled up around Harley as her breathing deepened.
Tobias smiled and cleaned up a little letting Harley watch over Emily
She whimpered in her sleep, her fingers twitching every so slightly as she curled into a tighter ball around the dog next to her.
Harley whined a little bit not liking how Emily was scared. She nuzzled her a little trying to wake her up. Toby came back into the room
Emily made a noise, fighting the wake up call as she squeezed her eyes shut.
Toby frowned a little," Emily." He said softly
She took a shaky breath in her sleep, rolling over to burry her face into the pillow at the end of the couch, now trembling softly.
Toby gently touched her shoulder," Emily."'
Emily jumped awake, looking over at Toby with wide eyes.
"Sorry.. Are you alright?" He asked softly
She stared at him for a long moment before her lip quivered and she practically lunged forward, burying her face in Toby's chest as she shook.
He wrapped his arms around her tightly surprised by her reaction," shh.. It's alright." He said softly looking down at her
She shook her head slowly, whimpering into him as she felt the tears run down her face.
"Hey nothing will happen to you here." He said softly hugging her and rubbing her back softly
Emily whimpered, her grasp on him becoming tighter, it didnt help that she was not feeling well at all, only making her want to cry even more.
Toby looked at her and hugged her tightly," it's alright calm down sweetheart." He said softly
She sniffled slightly, calming down but staying in her place, not moving away.
He rested his cheek against her head ad continued rubbing her back
"DId I tell you you smell like daddy?" she whispered softly.
"No you didn't tell me that." He answered softly
She nodded into him and grippde his shirt tightly in her hands.
"Won't you tell me what's wrong?" He asked looking at her
She hesitated for a moment "I don't know." she whimpered.
"You don't know if you will tell me or you don't know what's wrong?" He asked
"Its..I don't know." she said again, she pulled back slightly. "For Parent teacher conferences, Did Mama come with Daddy?"
He nodded slightly," okay." He replied. " umm I don't think so." He answered after some thought
she nodded slowly "I thought so."
she shook her head "She hates the fact he is paying for a nice privet school."
"Well I'm alright with you going to school."
"Why is that?" she asked, laying her head against his chest again.
"Because then at least there I know you aren't out in the cold." He replied laying his hand against her head
"Can I go back to the bedroom?" she asked ina soft voice. "I want to lay down while I talk."
"Yes you can lay back down in the bedroom." He answered letting her go and getting up," do you want Harley with you?"He asked
"Its up to her" she whispered softly. "I was hoping you would follow though."
"Oh well I'll come but most likely both of them will follow us." He answered as he got up and walked to the bedroom with her
She walked to the bedroom, making her way over to the bed and sitting down.
He sat down at the desk in the room
She looked at him. "Mama never really wants anything to do with me." she admitted softly. "She hates the fact that I take Daddy's attention."
"Well that's not right on your mothers part.. Did she just not want to have kids?" He asked
