She nidded, walking over to the cupboard, her bare feet padding softly against the tiled floor. "This one?" she asked, pulling out a loaf and holding it up.

Tobias was just putting the soup into bowls. He turned slightly," yes that's the one." He replied
Emily nodded and smiled before walking over woth the bread, pulling out a few slices and putting them on the plates beneath the bowls. "It looks good too." She cooed softly.
Tobias nodded slightly," I hope it tastes as good as it smells and looks." He said with a laugh," if not Keely and Harley will have lots of snacks for later."
She nodded "I am sure it tastes fine." she said with a smile.
He smiled at her a little bit," Would you like to sit at the table or sit in the living room by the fire?" He asked picking up the bowls
"By the fire." she said with a small smile, watching him pick up the bowls. "SOunds nice and warm." she said thoughtfully.
Tobias nodded," alright then by the fire it is." He replied walking out of the kitchen. "Keely Harley go lay down." He told the two dogs as they were following both he and Emily
Emily sat down by the fire, staring into the flames with a blank expression.
Tobias sat down next to her and put the bowl in her lap
SHe smiled happily, taking her bread and dipping it into the hot liquid. "Thank you for the food." she said, turning to look at him.
He smiled back at her," Your welcome honey." He replied letting the pet name slip out without thinking about it.
She blushed a bit, the smile fading as she looked back down to her food and taking a small bite of the soup. "It is really good." she complimented. "You made it all yourself right?" she asked, trying to lean away from the fact he had called her something other then her name. "If so you are really good at cooking, maybe I could help you sometime."
Tobias smiled slightly as he ate his own food," well I'm glad you like it and yes I did make it all by myself." He replied with a soft chuckle releasing that he had called her honey and blushed a little bit. He smiled," you can if you wish to."
SHe nodded "I make good spaghetti and lasagna." she said quietly before taking another large bite to occupy her mouth. She had not eaten much since her father left for a business trip in france, but she knew he would be back with presents in a couple days now. She swallowed the food before turning. "HAve you ever been out of the country?" she asked simply.
"Hmm maybe I should bribe you to make me some." He replied chuckling a little as he continued eating. Toby was glad she was eating and getting warmed up," yes I have actually.. Have you Emily?" He asked looking at her
"You dont need to bribe me." she whispered before looking up and shaking her head. "I did once but I was too young to remember it, Daddy says he will take me on one of his business trips after I graduate but that is not for a few more years yet." She slowly plushed around the soup in her bowl. "Mama doesn't like it when he offers to take me because I am still in school." THat was not the full truth, she didn't like that he spoiled Emily and not her, that was her main issue.
"Okay well you should make me some so I can try it at least." He replied," that's good where did you go?" He asked looking at her then nodding about her being able to leave when she was older," Well if you planned ahead a little you could get all of your assignments and still go with your father."
"England." she said with a smile. "It has interested me ever since, especially the Victorian era." she shrugged a bit. "she still won't let me go." she said simply. "I don't have much of an option, she is angry enough that he enrolled me into a nice private school"
He smiled softly at her," it's very nice in England." He frowned a little bit," you think you mum wouldn't let you go?@ he asked
SHe shrugged "I don't know, probably not."
"Well you should be able to go." He told her
She smiled a bit "Well thanks, but IT will not happen until after I graduate." she looked down at her food, the steam had died down but it was still comfortably warm.
"Well then I hope you are patient." He replied with a soft smile," Maybe durning the summer you can go."
she nodded "Maybe..." she whispered.
She finished up the soup before turning to her teacher. "Mr. East, do you think there will be school tomorrow?" she asked gently.
Tobias glanced out the window and shrugged," I'm not sure Emily. Maybe I the roads are cleared by morning."
SAhe nodded a bit "I figures as much.: she whispered
"Why do you need to be somewhere?" He asked
She shook her head slowly "no....I have no where to go tomorow."
He nodded," okay then.. You can stay here."
She blushed a bit "a...are you sure? I would not likw to be a burden
"You aren't going to be a burden to me." He said gently
She shook head head slowly "i dont know..." she whispered "a...are you sure I am able to stay?"
"Yes I'm sure you can stay here it's just me and Harley and keely."
She nodded slowly "alright." She whispered
she nodded as she finished up her food before standing "Where should I sleep tonight?" she asked softly.
Tobias finished up and then got up to put their bowls away," ohh you are sleeping in the guest room.. It's just down the hall upstairs if you want to go to her now."
She nodded, "thank you" she whispered before heading in the direction he pointed.
"You're welcome Emily." He replied watching her get up
She padded into the room, opening the door slowly and walking over to the bed.
Harley followed her up the stairs and into her room
She sat down slowly and stared at Harley. "What is it?cshe whispered softly.
Harley walked into the room and laid down at the end of the bed like a guard dog watching the door
Emily hesitated but layed down, closing her eyes slowly.
Harley didn't move from her spot all night even when Tobias came in to check on Emily and tried to get Harley to move
Emily whimpered in her sleep, her finers tightening around the blanket.
Harley got up an walked over to her gently pressing her nose against her hand
