Nicole | 3 comments Hi all!
I am in search of a series that includes vampires, who are in the present, but have lived a long time. I know...weird...but it's what I'm currently into. I like the historical feel, without reading something that takes place at that time...I want a great vampire book, with someone who is just a pure gentleman and loves with everything he has

Any suggestions?

Also The Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward

Have you read A Hidden Fire (Elemental Mysteries, #1) by Elizabeth Hunter ? The hero definitely has the old world gentlemanly vamp thing going for him. This is a Kindle freebie as well. (As of today's date.)

Warning, the relationship is a slow burn though. ☺

Lindsey (ucdlindsey) Might want to give Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer, #1) by Karen Chance a try (and the rest of the series)

Michelle (quill_n_ink) | 37 comments I have to agree about A Hidden Fire, Elemental Mysteries. Excellent backstory but contemporary setting. Gio is definitely the worldly gentleman!

New series that I love is The Florentine, The Raven (The Florentine, #1) by Sylvain Reynard , along with the prequel, The Prince (The Florentine, #0.5) by Sylvain Reynard .

MadameZelda Cole, I suggest: The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness: A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness , Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy, #2) by Deborah Harkness , and The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy, #3) by Deborah Harkness

I believe the trilogy meet your criteria

I'm almost finished with the first one, and I have to say, I did not expect it to be that good!

A suggestion-- Deborah Harkness has a Facebook page. The author really did her homework. She has pictures of the places featured in her trilogy, including artwork, style of dress, etc. The Bodelian library is beautiful.
