Rayne raised her eyebrows. Was Mary flirting? She had a pang of jealousy but tried to ignore it.
Noah glanced over at Rayne and smiled a little, the act seemingly strange to his face as it didn't come easy. He didn't smile a lot. "You getting a puppy?" He asked her curiously, looking over at the cage.
She smiled back and looked over at him."Maybe another time. I'm just not... Ready."
Noah nodded and inched away as a kitten tried to grab at his jacket in a fit of hissing. "It's a commitment," He said, understanding.
She glanced at the kitten, shooting it a dirty look. "Sure is."
Noah caught the look and actually laughed, turning to look at the kitty. "It's fine," He said, shrugging. "Comes with the package. Animal's just don't like me." He paused. "Something to do with 'ghostly aura' or something..." He smirked, a little darkly. He wasn't too happy with his deal as a psychic.
She laughed, shrugging it off."I understand, trust me." Rayne glanced around the shop before stopping on picking up dogs and kittens.
Mary smiled at them. She or some of the puppy's pretending she wasn't listinging
Noah smiled a little warmer and walked across the shop, dodging an angry cage of canaries who were so excited their prison had begun to swing from it's anchor on the roof.
Mary saw a guy behinde the counter and froze. He had that smell. A pack smell. "I'll be outside"she squeaked and darted out before the guy could see her.
Rayne noticed her funny actions and followed her, confused
Noah was standing in the back, much to the annoyance of the fish, and just glimpsed Rayne as she walked out after Mary. Ready and willing to leave the critters alone, he started after.
Mary sat on a bench and whimpered
Rayne sat by her, rubbing her back."Who was it?" She asked. She knew why she was upset
Noah stood, rather awkwardly, just off the the side. He stuck his hands into his pocket and watched Mary with veiled concern.
Mary shivered"h-he was part of my pack. If he finds me..."
"Oh gosh..." She hugged her."Let's go." Rayne decided to avoid the pet shop next time.
Mary nodded"I'm so sorry guys I just got ... Nervous"
Mary sighed. *if they are here hen...*she tried to calm herself
Noah took a hesitant step closer. "Should I go beat him up?" He attempted a smile to help her feel better.
mary smiled and almost laughed at the thought."it would be funnybut no thanks. its jsut..."she sighed"my packfound me"she whispered
"Oh my gosh." Rayne was speechless. She knew how bad this was.
Mary pulled her hair back and tried to keep herself controlled"You guys should hang out some more."she said "I think I need to go home"she whispered
Mary opened her eyes. She sent her a mind message *face it I'm a third wheel between you two*she said with a small unconvincing smile
Noah watched her quietly, unsure what to do. "You can stay," He said. "We'll just head somewhere else."
Mary shrugged not really sure what to do .
"ok let's go to the food area or something . "she decided quietly
"Well only if you want to," Noah grinned, trying to break the depressing silence that had fallen. "If you want to go home that's fine too. Won't be as much fun, but we'll survive, I think." He glanced at Rayne, keeping a smile on.
She smiled softly, still feeling bad for Mary. Rayne sighed, glancing around.
mary shook her head aqnd stood"ill see you later you guys"she whispered and darted away before they couyld stop her
Noah sighed through his nose, watching her go. He ran a hand through his hair and then stuck it into his pocket. "... Bye... "
mary shifted and ran to her cave but froe when she saw other werewolfs byt her cave"she4 just lefty almost an hour ago.:
"we can still find her"
Rayne stood there, unsure of what to do.
mary looked around and grinned knowing how to get them away. she pulled a live deer over and all the wolfs chased after it
Noah suddenly shrugged and turned to Rayne. "Well." He gave her a crooked smile. "I guess it's just us then."
"Yeah..." She forced a smile. She was only worried her best friend.
Mary managed to pack a bag of all the stuff she needed Nd get away safely .
Noah felt out of place. He cleared his throat slightly and then came to an idea. "You can go and check up on her if you want, Rayne. I, uhm, I don't mind. I can take the bus home."
"I shouldn't interfere. That would make things worse..." Rayne put it out of her mind for now. "So, where now?"
"Aha, I have no clue." Noah shook his head and shrugged. "Anywhere you want to go?"
"Hmm..." Rayne thought for a moment."There's actually, believe or not, a pawn shop. Want to check it out?" She glanced at him.
"Sure," Noah said, without even thinking about it. "Sure that sounds fun."
"Awesome." She smiled at him and looked ahead. Rayne had never gone there but knew exactly where it was.
soon mary had checke out a hotel room. she felt like throwing up. she texted rayne*i have to get out of town by tomorrow night. have fun w noah!:)*she texted
*Ill really miss u! B safe!" She replied
Noah nodded and began following her, glancing momentarily at her phone but not reading anything. He could if he wanted to, but he had some niceness in him. "So have you ever been there before?"
