She nodded nervously."Be careful..." Maddie followed his instructions
Carter nodded. He stormed into the house and went straight to his dad who was almost passed out. Her threw him to the floor"Carter?!"his dad said in suprise
She winced sinking down into the seat
Carter punched his did in the jaw " get the hell out of my house don't touch maddie ever again and I hope this hurts"he said and kicked him in the soft spot
((Go Carter!)) Maddie prayed he was okay.
(Lol)Carter dragged his dad out and shoved him into his car
Maddie jumped out the car, rushing over to Carter to hug him.
Carter hugged her back ."Let's get yo inside"he said and scooped her up
She kissed him gently before letting him carry her.
Carter sat her on the couch and studied her worried. "where does it hurt
Lets just say he slapped my face and gripped my arm ... Tight."
Carter touched her cheek with his fingertips gently"I'm so sorry"he said and sat next to her
"It's fine really..." She looked away
Carter shook his head"that's why I'm so Agenst slavery . He's such a...a.."he trailed his face contorted in anger
"Shhh.." She touched his arm gently
Carter slowly calmed down . He took a deep breath and sighed
Carter wrapped and arm around her shoulders and leaned back ."no it's not . But I'll relax"he said
Carter smiled at her softly . He fingered the end of her hair and kissed the top of her head.(kade?)
Mary followed him back to the house and caught a glimpse of a neighbor looking at them and talkin on the phone.
Kade glanced at Mary,"Go ok inside alright..."
Mary nodded and went inside biting her lip. She started on the basement to distract her.
Mary finished the basement quickly And came upstairs and saw him working"Can I help?"
Mary smiled small and began helPing him anyways"

Mary looked out the window as she was drying a glass cup
Mary didn't hear him . She dried the next dish and sighed thinking.
He surprised her, suddenly kissing her neck.
Mary froze as she felt him kiss her neck and she looked at him out of the cornmer. Why wasn't she freaking out? Why was he kissing her ? *get away from him!*her brain shouted *shut up*her heart replied . She slowly relaxed and closed her eyes feeling a tingle run up her body.
Kade stepped back."No, this is wrong.., I can't.."
Mary ducked her head "I'm sorry I didn't.."she trailed not sure how to say what she was feeling . Her blue eyes gazed into his.
"It was my fault." He turned and began walking away
Mary went to walk forward and reached out to touch his arm but stopped . She let her hand drop and she looked away *your a slave he's rich. You where stupid to think you are the same as him*she told her self
She shook her head."no "she said softly and turned to finish dIshes *stupid! How could you think anyone like... Him could ever care about someone like you?!*she told herself and she sighed
Kade kept walking and made his way to his room
Mary put her head in her hands. When she was sure he was gone she washed the concealer of her arms and looked at the scars. Her anger and bitterness returned and she finished her chores and went to her room feeling stronger
But at the same time she felt awake than she ever had. She sat on he bed and took of her locket she wore. She gazed at the pictures and tears rolled down her cheeks. If only he hadnt died...
" ok. Ok come on "he said leading her to the car he opened the door and helped her in.
"You should stay here ok. I'll be back in a few ok. Lock the doors"
