Maddie laughed."Shush up," She corrected.
Carter smiled " yes ma'am "he said chuckling
"I was only kidding." Maddie giggled and sat on the counter
Carter watched her. He took her plate and washed it . Looking at her out of he corner of his eyeMary opened her locket . There was two pictures. A picture of a boy her age. Handsome and smiling , he had his arm around a girl with long flowing brown hair and she was smiling . She looked amazing. ... The girl was her.
The other picture was of he same boy but he was wearing uniform and wasn't smiling.
She began drying a few dishes that are wet and on the counter with a towel by her.
Carter gently tool the towel from her"leave it to me"he said smiling.
Carter smiled widely and laughed" yes!"he said playfully and tugged softly
She smiled and tugged back. Maddie was laughing now."No!"
Carter laughed and scooped her up and took the towel and set her back on the counter"yes!"he said laughing and he splashed her with a little water
Maddie scoffed playfully."Oh no you didn't!" She scooped up some bubbles and mashed them in his hair
Carter llaughed his smile was ear to ear. "oh yes I did!"he said and messed bubbles into her hair as well.
She laughed and took water splaying it in the air.
Carter laughed and smiled at her his sparkling eyes locked with hers
There was a sudden silence. Maddie looked up in his eyes, her face suddenly serious.
Carted was hipnotized by her eyes . Or maybe just by her in general. He reached out and brushed his fingertips Agenst her cheek.
She shivered and then smiled. Maddie felt something, but she wasn't sure what. She began inching toward his face.
Carter smiled small he leaned in but paused as if asking permision to kiss her
Maddie smiled and put her lips on his, gently. She soon closed her eyes and put her arms around his neck.
Carter wrapped his arms loosely around her waist and kissed her , his heart thumped fast feeling alive.
Maddie pulled away after a bit, her heart beating passionately. She breathed hard and have him innocent eyes.
Carter smiled at her."your beautiful you know that?" he breathed
She blushed softly."Thanks I guess." Maddie smiled again."Your charming."
Carter cupped her cheek with his hand and gazed into her eyes. "wow "he breathed
Maddie looked down and then turned."I can't. This isn't right."
Carter pulled away"sorry"he said with a small blush.
"No it wasn't you. I'm just worried about what might happen to you." Maddie turned around, taking one of his hands.
Carter tilted his head"what do yu mean"he asked
Mary came out a while later and looked at the kitchen. The dishes weren't done she she buisied her self cleaning and drying them.
"They will come, if they know."He immediately got up, rushing to her aid, "I told you not to do that..."
Carter held her close"who?"
Mary Jumled and backed away hearing an edge to his tone she expected a swing and she backed away

"The slave marketers." She mumbled into his shirt. "Don't be. Ill go make your bed. Follow me." Kade wasn't trying to be rude, he just didn't want her hurt.

Carter chuckled and got on his knees whiping up water from the floor smilingMary blushed and looked at her feet peeking up up at him through her lashes

She smiled and began wiping off the counters. He laughed."Thanks I guess." He stepped aside. It was ready.
Mary smiled small. "thank you"she said softly
When they where done he stood and smiled at her
"Sure. Come get me if you need anything, I'll be across the hall."She smiled."I think I'm doing to bed now."
Mary watched him go . She almost followed but stopped out of fearCarter kissed her forhead
