Mary heard a car pull up not long after and she started shaking a bit
Someone knocked on the door and Mary's heart pounded
He let go of Mary, but took her hand. "Come in."
The slave catchers came in. Three. And behinde them where two men in suits
He kept her behind him."Please. I will escort her to the place. In my car, and custody."
The catchers took a step forward but one of the men held up his hand"fine. But I must require one of my guards to come with you to make sure you acctually get her back to the place"
"Good." He took Mary out if the shadows and kept her close.
The catcher was the one she hAd knocked out and he was glaring daggers. Marys heart beat fast
Kade tried to stay calm. He walked out to his car, bringing Mary along.
Mary followed and the catcher ' acidently' tripped her and she stumbled
Kade turned in time to catch her."Quit it." He glared at the guard and put her on her feet.
The catcher looked at him with false inoccince"I have no idea what your talking about"he lied getting in the car
Kade shook his head and let Mary her in before he did.
Mary eyed the catcher warily. Waiting for him
Mary took a deep breath *be brave. Be strong *she tilt herself and sat a little taller
He started the car and pulled out. Shaking
Mary held his hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze
Mary smiled Small and weak . She wanted to curl up inane hide
Kade drove, careful to follow the cars.
The cather looked at him"why do you even like her?"
The catcher crossed his arms" I just did"
"Because she's smart, beautiful, strong and unlike you nice." He glared at him
Mary looked at kade with love shining in her eyes "Smart? Beautiful ?jeez your stupid"he mumbled
Mary leaned over and kissed kades cheek.
Mary looked out the window as they parked infront of the slave centrr
He stepped out rushing over to Mary's side to help her.
Mary held his hand rightly"follow me"said one o the men in suits
"she will have to stay outside of the office as we talk"
"because I do not allow slaves in my office!"the man said
"watch it boy. I've had it up to here with you and if you push me further I will put Mary back up for adoption until the council finds your files of slave transfer instead of legit you keep her until then"
He took in a breath."Mary, stay here."
The catchers cuffed her hands"please be carefull"we whispered
The catchers dragged Mary to a cage and covers her mouth she struggled but they didn't care
