OK, so I finished the book and it was nothing short of incredible but I still don't understand why Bryce let Shane sleep with his wife in exchange for not letting him pay the rent? please help! c:

Maybe because that's just some people's thing? Everyone in this book is screwed up in one way or another. That's what's off with him.

I was a little confused by that at the end too. Everything else tied up nicely. I wondered if maybe Mobo was behind it, since he was sleeping with her too and kept trying to get on Shane's good side. It seemed Bryce would do anything for Mobo to keep getting the "drugs" he was dealing. Also, Bryce was sleeping with deaf Marlene so maybe his wife found out and wanted an eye for an eye. Physically, Shane may have been a catch, since his corporate climbing sadist girlfriend couldn't get enough rough sex with him.
