Betterizer
Amazon Betterizer is an easy and fun tool located in Your Amazon.co.uk. Using this tool, you can quickly let us know about the items you like to help personalise your shopping experience on Amazon by getting new product recommendations instantly.
How to use Amazon Betterizer

When you see an item of interest, you can simply click the "Like" button below the item. We'll then note it, and show you another item that we hope you'll also like.
If you're not sure about an item and want to learn more before selecting "Like", just hover over the image of the item to see more details. If you're not seeing anything of interest, click the "Refresh and show different items" link to see a whole new set of items.

Once you're ready to see your new personalised recommendations just click the "Show my new recommendations" link.

Why do I see items from only some categories in the feature?

We'll gradually be adding new categories to the Betterizer - so check back as we continue to add new products to this experience. In the meantime, you can use the "Like" button on product detail pages across Amazon to like items from the product categories you don't see in the Betterizer. Click here for more information about the "Like" feature.

Are the items I like through Amazon Betterizer private?

Items you like on Amazon.co.uk are private and will not be shared with anyone without your permission.

Natasha Holme (natashaholme) | 832 comments Scary. I have a friend who's such a trigger-happy online shopper that he's forgotten what he's ordered before it arrives and has maxed out all his credit cards. He can't find out about this.

L.G. Evans | 35 comments Hi all, I'm new to this group, but I was just curious... is anyone in here an author who has a book on Amazon UK?

The reason I ask is my Amazon page in the US doesn't have the like button anymore. So I started looking at other Kindle ebooks and they weren't on there either.

So I was curious if the like button was still showing up as it seemed to be key to the "Betterizer"

Jim | 21812 comments Mine on .co.uk still has a like button.
Mind you I was reading in the paper that there is legal action underway where someone is taking Facebook to court, on the grounds that his firm invented the Like button and Facebook just copied it and never paid royalties.
So it might be Amazon.com has decided to drop it quickly before someone gets litigious with them (or it might just be random Amazon change for change sake)

That sounds about right. You can't REALLY be in business until you're suing or being sued. Thanks for the info.
