Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Gertrude was close, actually. I like the old fashionedness of it, but thought Effie just had that extra something.

Yay Pamela! I wish I had prizes for this.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments I'm happy. I don't need a prize ☺

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Lyle Carlson, Boyfriend #1, has been chosen. Thanks, Gerrie!

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Starting a new story to go with the With This Ring series. This one is called Who Wants to Marry a Fireman. *grin* No, I don't subscribe to romance tropes at all.

Anyway, the backdrop has the Bachelor-type competition going in, but it's more like a free-for-all. Instead of one man and many women, I'm going with eight men and eight women.

I need: names, ages (between 23 and 33, probably), and occupations. Anyone?

message 60: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Elaine Tarkington, 31, executive secretary
Reena Lucas, 24, student nursing school

Benny Gilmore, 28, owner Benny's Bar and Grill
Kenner Hazelwood, 33,Insurance Salesman
Johnathan Poindexter, 29, owner of health food store
Nick Doyle, 25, medical intern

Gerrie | 2856 comments Abigail, I'm sorry I haven't checked in here for a while, but Go Lyle Carlson!

Pamela's listed some great names and occupations. But since they're are eight of each, maybe I can add on. You can mix and match any of them if you even like one name or occupation.

April Vincent - 25, law student
Gina Benedict - 31, emergency room nurse
Grace Collard - 29, landscape designer
Eva Dreyfus - 33, pastry chef and bakery owner
Liz Costas - 30, pharmacist

Christopher Baily - 32, veterinarian
Brody Thompson - 24, graduate student in business
Zach Bellamy - 30, software developer
Gavin Lantos - 32, physical therapist
Matt Lerner - 29, architect

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments You guys don't know how much I appreciate it! *laugh* My poor little brain can't take coming up with names all the time.

Keep 'em coming! Some names I can't use because I know someone with that name or I've already used it, and some occupations I can't use because I've already used them, too!

message 64: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Bailey Thompson or Bailey Bellamy for my heroine Janelle's best friend. I also need a last name for Janelle.

I don't have a job for Bailey, but Janelle is an investigative reporter.

(Thanks for the list of names. I mixed and matched to find Bailey.)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments You guys you guys you guys! I finally have my Cast of Characters for Who Wants to Marry a Fireman?

We return to the Crescent Ridge Ranch in WY (WWTMADoctor takes place near Savannah, GA) and meet:

Heroine Janelle Paquette, an investigative reporter
and Hero Tyler Armstrong, the Firefighter.

We also meet our local Bachelorettes:
Grace Collier, an awkward landscape designer and a rancher
Elaine Kenner, an advertising executive
Cori Eckersley, a librarian and a rancher
and Vicki Desmond, a pastry chef/bakery owner and a rancher

And the local bachelors:
Cal Morgan, car salesman
Travis Quinton, compliance manager
Zach Walker, a vet and a rancher
and William "Web" Jackson, a rancher who does nothing else

THANK YOU for your list of names and occupations. It took me, like, a quarter of the time to come up with them because of y'all's imagination.
