I'm not sure if it's right to have my question here, but I was curious about the almost throwaway reference in Honor's thoughts about Cole.... that bothered me, for some reason.
I remember their "relationship" in Cole's story and got the impression at the time that it was much more for Honor than presented here. I wanted more explanation, too.
One of the things I've come to understand about Noah is how much he cares for his operatives, especially since Samara. What I appreciate is he creates the opening and then leaves them to their own devices. How it's orchestrated seems less manipulative than him forcing them to confront their truths.

You're right, of course, about Noah not using pressure at all.

That's a great point, Quynh. Noah is notorious for testing his operatives and these type are almost the ultimate. I still think he's also wanting the best for them and setting up the potential for committed relationships.

One way couples get together in romance books is meddling and matchmaking so it never bothers me.
Quynh - I love the updates too!
