Noah's at it again with his matchmaking. Was it a wrong move for him to designate Hope to lead Seth's rescue op without telling him or is there something right about how he orchestrates it?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I don't know about this in Hope's and Seth's story. I don't like to see a matchmaking theme become a recurrent mechanism to get a story underway.

I'm not sure if it's right to have my question here, but I was curious about the almost throwaway reference in Honor's thoughts about Cole.... that bothered me, for some reason.

I remember their "relationship" in Cole's story and got the impression at the time that it was much more for Honor than presented here. I wanted more explanation, too.

One of the things I've come to understand about Noah is how much he cares for his operatives, especially since Samara. What I appreciate is he creates the opening and then leaves them to their own devices. How it's orchestrated seems less manipulative than him forcing them to confront their truths.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I'll have to go back to Cole's story and check it out. My brain checked out with respect to memory on that, and I wanted closure for a relationship between LCR operatives that might impact further interactions.

You're right, of course, about Noah not using pressure at all.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 134 comments Underneath that matchmaking, I think it's also another test for his operatives. Working with someone they have a personal past with will determine how focus they are, whether or not they can handle being professional with everything going in the back of their minds. Noah have done this for every book so far, his people are the best at what they do, why change his ways. :D

That's a great point, Quynh. Noah is notorious for testing his operatives and these type are almost the ultimate. I still think he's also wanting the best for them and setting up the potential for committed relationships.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 134 comments Yeah the matchmaking and the relationship that bloom are a bonus for Noah. He would probably never credit himself for it though lol.

I think Samara's got his number, though:)

Quynh (quynh_o) | 134 comments Lol, she certainly does! I love the little updates we get on some of the couples in the book. Noah is definitely over the moon over his wife and kids.

One way couples get together in romance books is meddling and matchmaking so it never bothers me.

Quynh - I love the updates too!
