Boy, this is a tough one. The author seems to have set up a big difference between how men and women might respond in such circumstances. Nevertheless, if Hector Clemmons was as bad as implied, I think Seth had little choice but to sever the relationship brutally. (view spoiler)
His mistake was starting the relationship while undercover. Once he did, I couldn't see many alternatives other than the one he chose. Maybe he could have told her the truth but Honor probably would have tried to help.
I think Seth did what he thought was best for everyone. He couldn't risk having people he loves getting hurt. It says a lot about his character too that he's willing to make the sacrifice.
I agree with you, Jonetta. He never should have started this relationship but once he did there wasn't any other way to go.
