I'm really impressed with his work ethic... in many interviews he mentions getting up at 3:30am before going to a corporate job. No one really goes any deeper than that soundbite. Would love more detail on this:
-What time does he go to sleep? (e.g. is he cutting into sleep or changing his schedule)
-What advice does he have to professionals to carve out writing time?
-He has also mentioned that work often creeps into writing time. What strategies does he use when work gets crazy to either protect some writing time or - if he has to push pause - how does he get back into his world after a long work interruption?
Pretty much anything on how he is managing to crank out epic fantasy while working a > 9-5 demanding job would be of extreme interest.
I've been waiting to read the Author's Definitive Edition of "The Unremembered," but I did want to ask about the music magic that's been mentioned in reviews and interviews. Is this a new style of music invented for the book, or are you using Earth-based music to create the music? The first thing I thought of when I read about it was what kind of effect something like Tuvan throat singing would have in your world.
