Jeannie Lehman | 3 comments I read it in the 70's. The title is a one word girl's name. It's about a poor young woman who is raising her sister (or daughter?) There is a rich young man who is interested in her. I believe she know him earlier in her life. There is a specific line that I remember (for some reason.) They were at tea together and she said "we don't know the Earl Grey, do we?" Not much to go on!

Mir | 805 comments Is it historical or contemporary? Georgette Heyer has a lot of one-female-name titles, and often has a slightly older woman raising or supervising wilder young relatives.

Jeannie Lehman | 3 comments It seems like it was mid 1900's or so. I'll check her books. I'd recognize the title if I heard it. Thanks!
