Writing Contest #11

You're out walking in the countryside with your young nephew and niece. As you cross a field one of them spots something. It's a coin; a very unusual and rare coin. They pester you all the way home, saying "tell us about the coin", so later, you sit them down with a cup of cocoa and tell them the story of the coin... You have 200 words.

This is my first go at the competition so I want to take a few days over it. You are all experienced compared to me! Ha ha!

I am experienced Tony but rubbish too! I only do it so no-one else has to come last - but I really like this part of the group as it gives everyone a chance to 'have a go'.

Tony I've entered this comp about three or four times I think - and that's the only creative writing I've done since leaving school. So don't you worry about being inexperienced hun! ;)

I think Jud might allow a couple of words each way. I don't give a title - it means she has to make one up. Mine is usually called 'Crap Entry'
