Ok. So why did you put a pin on your board asking how could someone cut their hand open without it bleeding? Is there going to be a character in book two who does this?

Kath should have gotten tied. Without her wanting to. Then she would of understood what Clara went through at first. hehehe :p
Okay, partly based on Kendra's post about Tyler, partly on various other things, I'm guessing Tyler and Summer will be Tied. I have no idea what she'll think of it.
Seeing as how every pin I have of Tyler has him romantically involved with Summer in some way, I'd say that's a fair guess.
Here's one very vague speculation. Someone from our World will be tied to someone in Rizkaland. I mean someone who has always lived there.(Between reading multiple books and frantically trying to re-plot my story I can't think properly.)
I'm probably way off on this, but there was something about Petra having two sisters? Maybe? I don't remember if that was something you said, Kendra, but if that's true, maybe Petra doesn't kill Amber, their third sister does. Or... Laura is their third sister.
But then again, I'm pretty sure that's completely wrong, since the Tela Du, Petra, is supposed to kill Lady Dragon. :P
Hmmmmm...............Well, I'm thinking (or hoping) that we'll get some more background on Laura, since she seems to be tied closely with this whole LD/TD stuff.
And also I think that's a given that we'll learn more about Amber, which I'm pretty excited about. ;)
So no "big" specs., but oh well. *shrugs*
I'm intrigued by the wording of the prophecy. Do Amber and Petra have one face in any other way than that they look alike?
If their fate is twisted, is it just twisted together or is it twisted in a bad sense? Does what happens to one change what happens to the other? If one dies, does that do something to the other?
Particularly interesting is "one shall speak the other's death." Which one? Does Amber speak Petra's death? Does Petra speak Amber's? Is it Speaking or just speaking? Does that mean Petra becomes a bookdaughter? Or if Petra's sisters are really twins or triplets, what if one were mistaken for the other? Then her sisters could have Amber's face too...
Does one merely speak the other's death or actually kill the other? The prophecy doesn't actually say. One could speak death by another's hand. Or does she speak the words and that's what causes the other to die?
Or what if the death were figurative - like the death of Amber's evil nature? That would make her war "final." Can someone from earth actually truly die in Rizkaland? Are they dead in both worlds then or just one?
I do happen to think Amber dies...
I'm assuming there will be a war at the end of the book... I'm curious to find out Granite's role. I'm guessing he dies when Amber does, but is it right away? Or just triggered by her death? And does her death trigger the war or end the war?
So many speculations....so many ways the story could go. :) But only one way it will go. :)
I think we're going to learn more about Granite and Amber's background in this book. I'm curious what Reuben's role is, exactly. I mean, in WPFP, Andrew isn't the main character, really--that's Clara--but he does still have a significant role. So I'm wondering about Reuben. Maybe he's in the prophecy somehow, too?
And I do highly suspect we're going to find out some interesting stuff about Laura in this book. I'm gonna guess her relationship with Amber is going to be revealed more, and maybe, just maybe, she's got some sort of relationship with another Rizkaland character as well? I mean more specifically than just being around when they were little or something.
As for the death aspect, I agree that the prophecy seems a bit vague. I think Amber's probably not going to actually die in this book, unless there's another antag lined up somewhere...in which case we'll surely meet him/her in this book.
Now I'm wondering about the hint that there might be a stone-table-ish parallel scene in a future book... Who's the villain with that?? Amber? Someone else? Someone who secretly corrupted Amber? Someone bigger and badder? And what about Amber's Island? If she dies, is the ban of the island completely gone? Or is that something else the good guys have to deal with? There could be countless interesting stories from those trapped there....
Does Amber ever think of replacing herself - someone to take over her ambition were she possibly to die? Or is she secure in her long life with no fear? Or perhaps her mission is hers alone and she wouldn't care to have it continued after her death...
Or, you know, Amber could die, and then come back in every later book... ;)Or what if there was a way to kill the dragon part and not the human part of her - or vice versa?
Resterwen wrote: "Or what if there was a way to kill the dragon part and not the human part of her - or vice versa?"OH wow, that's an interesting theory....
Or what if Petra spoke Amber's death and Reuben is the one who physically kills her? Or Granite kills her and dies alongside her?
The prophecy gives so much room for wondering. Now I'm pretty sure that something is going to happen with Clara and Andrew's children in one of the later books. At that time (unless time are completely messed up) Amber is trapped on her island. So she can't really be the villain. And there was a picture on pinterest of what looked like a evil Hinequa.(I think those are the flying ones) And then there's that other island, the oriental one. Iv'e forgotten it's name.
Ooh, there are some VERY interesting speculations cropping up. Some are ones my characters are discussing as well.
Hmm... maybe I should drop the fact that the wording I originally considered for the prophecy was, "one shall see the other's death."
And, yes, Reuben does have a VERY significant role to play, despite not being in any prophecy. He shares that distinction with the Church age. ;)
Keep it up, guys. I'm about to pull up and see if I can churn out chapter nine!

See the other's death... That's just an interesting, and just as vague. It could mean one watches the other die.
It could also mean one foresees the other's death...seeing it in the future...sort of like speaking it...
Or one oversees the death of the other, but others carry it out.
Or one sees to the death of the other...
But now we have both See and Speak to consider. The problem is that they fit together too well. And vaguely. :)
it will be fun to read the characters musing on some of these same things. :) (Now I feel like a character.)
Very interesting. I must admit that when I first read WPFP I thought it said that the Tela Du would share Amber's fate, not face. As in she would die with her. I don't think that anymore. I think it much more likely that they will both live than they both die. I also think it's a lot more likely that Amber will die than Petra.
I speculate that whatever the characters are speculating about will be wrong. :)Here's a thought that would have potential for awesomeness. What if Amber's destruction were to come about through her own powers? For instance, what if she tried to turn Petra to ice (or something) and, due to the fact that Petra has the same face (and other nuances relating to this fact), it ends up turning Amber to ice instead? That way Petra wouldn't outright kill her herself; Amber's demise would be due to who Petra is, though. And maybe it would turn Granite to ice as well then. And Reuben could be involved somehow too...
The problem with that is that turning to ice isn't exactly death...
Or what if her dragon fire turned on herself and she was burnt...
Or if we're getting really complicated, Amber turns Petra to ice. But then it turns backwards on her and she finds herself freezing because of the one face thing. So she sends Granite or someone to find a source of Alphego's fire to thaw herself...but because she's rejected Alphego, the fire consumes her and revives Petra.
And I totally made that up based on very limited knowledge. I know there's a lot more going to be going on that I don't have a clue about yet. :) I don't actually think she would freeze Petra - not without another factor motivating her. She would naturally want to kill her outright and not risk her coming back to destroy her later.
Still, it would be neat if Alphego were the one involved in her demise.
There has to be a reason that they have "one face." Only the girl with that face can do this...so why?
Seriously. If my plotting brain is working this well right now, I really ought to go plot my own book. It needs it.
I like that theory about Alphego's fire and such, Resterwen! What if Amber's death is totally accidental on Petra's part? Sort of like at the end of Tangled, where Mother Gothel falls. But Amber falls off a wall or something and Petra tries to save her and then Amber ends up dying. I think Petra would be too good to outright kill Amber.
Or maybe they capture Amber somehow, and when she goes on trial, she gets sentenced to death.
OR what if Amber accidentally freezes Granite and then dies of grief?
This is just getting crazier...
The accidental death theory is interesting. Going with that, what if speaking her death means that Petra has information that will cause Amber to die or be killed - and Petra has to choose between giving the information/assuring her death and withholding the information/hurting/killing someone else (Reuben maybe?). Or what if Amber has Reuben's life in her hands and will kill him if Petra makes any move against her?
Really cool speculations. Is there a good story reason for Amber and Petra to have the same face? Because if I remember right, real reason is that Kendra was playing both characters. But if she came up with a good story reason, so much could be possible.
Some one speculated that Amber was actually one of Petra's twins. But that doesn't really make sense to me.
Yeah, Petra's the daughter of Ralph and Jane and Amber's from Luna. It would make sense except for that.
All your speculations are so crazily creative. Not saying they're wrong, because even I am left to wonder so much. Honestly, you guys could write a spin-off series with all this plotting! :DI really want to speculate here but I might give spoilers, because I'm forgetting what you guys don't quite know yet, and Kendra would probably not like me for that. But I kind of have an idea tying Petra to Amber and her sisters. Though I'm probably dead wrong, and I admit to that.
Oh, I know, Luna has some weird parallel thing going on with our earth. Okay I don't really know anything.Things I do know from Pinterest:
The Queen of Klarand is named Jilina. Based on that Klarand is going to come into things. And Kendra mentioned that Petra and Reuben were at the Kastle.
A quote indicated that P and R will be the main characters of Book 3. I'm thinking they won't go back home at the end of LDTD then. And Petra isn't reconciled to everything yet.
Anyone got any ideas about Edna? She seems to belong with someone named Alex.
I'm pretty sure that Summer is the Edmund character but with her name it could be Edna. And there was supposed to be four queens.
Oh and there is a princess named Sorei. Obviously for a later book. Maybe of Chinok. And there's a Lady Jenna.
And here's something really interesting. There a picture of Anita (Clara's daughter) and Kyle (Andrew's brother). Uncle and niece. So, shortly after the time of WPFP they(Clarand + others) actually get sent back to Klarand to help out.
And then there's this picture. Edna and princesses. I don't know what that means.
My brother was wondering if Petra would become immortal if she kills Amber and if there is any end to the line of immortal rulers. Perhaps that happens when Laura dies.(Which obviously is here because she was the only survivor) Or if Petra doesn't actually kill Amber I suppose that might end it.
What if Petra does something or speaks something that takes away Amber's immortality, causing her to then be able to die a "natural" death? Petra wouldn't be killing her outright, but she would see/speak her death.
Petra looking like Amber could potentially confuse things. What if someone accidentally mistakes Amber for Petra? I mean if Amber disguises herself as Petra with the whole purple thing. That could create some complications. All these theories are incredibly interesting!
Good speculation. :) I've been trying to come up with a good plot point based on the colors of their clothing. :)
If the title was Dragon Song, that means there was probably a dragon present.... So far Amber's the only dragon we've met. Will another come...or will Amber be a part of later books? :)
The title almost sounds like a good song though. But up against unicorn sword, not so much... I don't know....
*wonders if Lost Bookholder is tied in any way to lost prince in the Silver Chair....*
