Yes but whne I actually though about it I realized that amber is always petrified. Petrified tree resin. So saying that she gets petrified doesn't work quite as well after all. So don't think about it. :)

It's just another prophecy... A statement of fact, of what is. She was doomed from early on. Amber IS Petrified. Not will be. Look, Amber has Petra's face. If that's not Petrified, what is?

Whoa... so much speculation. I'm curious, are we going to get any other sneak peeks from other worlds, like Luna? Obviously the series is about Rizkaland, though...

*holds up hands defensively* According to my mother, I have the mind of a criminal. And anyway, it's sitting in a pool of fire!!! That should probably somehow work into the plot, and that was the theory that came to mind.

I'm getting the vibe that Clara and Andrew are going to return to Rizkaland.
I think it was said somewhere. I don't think they will be the central characters though.

Well, to be frank, I think Amber's gonna die. Or, she won't, but neither will Petra, and she'll be the villain of book 3 or course. But probably not, because Clara and Andrew are going to be in book 3, yes? So that's when Amber is banished. Then there will be another villain.
Well, obviously it'll take place some thousand-ish years after Clara and Andrew's time. Obviously, things have gone seriously downhill as well. So. Actual speculations:
-Amber will lead some kind of quiet revolution against the kings and queens of Rizkaland.
-Petra will stand against this revolution.
-Because of Amber's sudden popularity, Petra will be much less well-received by Rizkaland than were Andrew and Clara.
Also, a question: Laura said she's seen the point when she dies, so we know she does die eventually- but we also know that her timeline doesn't linearly fit with the rest of the worlds' timeline. Does this mean that people might, possibly, see Laura die, but then a younger Laura would show up sometime later?

I'm pretty sure Amber's going to die... but that's the only thing I'm sure about.
Though it's possible that we'll see Laura die, I suspect it happens in another world. And yes, her death wouldn't stop her from being around. There was two of her there when she died.

Is Petra a reincarnation of Amber? Maybe she's Renee's younger, long-lost sister...though those too specs probably don't go together.

I haven't been on here in a while but I should more often. :) All these speculations are great. Kendra, your conversation with your brother is awesome. :D
So, I don't usually come on here, but I am now!So, I'm gonna start with the little I know. Clarand isn't gonna be in this book. :( Um... Amber likes paper and writing. Yeah .... That's basically all I know.
So what do I think is gonna happen? Well, Amber or Petra is gonna have to die. Well, you'd think it'd be Amber (I mean, she's the bad guy, and it was kinda prophesied). But. What. If. Petra. Died?? TWIST! OR neither Amber or Petra died? That could happen! There's always a way out of prophecies! That's what I have now, 'cause I have to go to school. :(
Ok, I think that Petra is going to change Amber for the good, with Granites help of course. As much as I want the villain to be vanquished, Amber needs help. I also think that Laura will find truelove, but he will either have to leave, or die.
Oh yes! Laura definitely should fine someone! Maybe there's another doorkeeper???
Eh, she had to still be alone, so it cant be someone who can stay alive with her.
I think Petra is going to figure out what happened to her sisters. And that eventually she'll let Reuben kiss her.

I bet Amber is Petra's sister (or one of them) That's why they look so alike. And I'm rooting for Amber's salvation through Laura and Granite/Silver :) I feel like some of the snippets I've read are leaning towards that... maybe? :)
Going back to the theory about Petra being Amber's sister: Was Amber her twin? Could they get a happily ever after where Amber changes and goes to live with Petra's family, and Petra gets her sister back?
I mean, does the battle have to be fought with swords? It says one shall speak the other's death, but Amber's been threatening to kill the Tela Du for, well, ever... is that enough? Besides one of the themes is forgiveness, sooo... Besides, twisted fate sounds as though it's much deeper than just the fact that they look alike and Petra has to defeat Amber... I don't know.
Hopefully some of that was coherent... Oh, well.
(Random side note: I know this isn't a thing, (and I'm glad it didn't happen!) but when I read about the fact that Andrew's mom disappeared, literally my first thoughts were "I bet she went to Rizkaland" and then my thought right after that was "Ohmygoodnesswhatifshe'sAmber??" The sane and non-maniacal-writer part of my brain immediately shushed that idea, of course, but the evil and maniacal part of me enjoyed it immensely... Guess it isn't a speculation per sey...)

Yeah... :) I only entertained the thought for a second (though long enough for my mind to come up with a ton of ways that maybe possibly it might work, ranging from improbable to this-defies-several-laws-of-everything)
I don't know how speculative this is, but I kinda think Petra and Reuben will be Tied before the book is over, but while Petra might not be completely cool with it, I don't think they'll be surprised by it like Clara and Andrew. And I'm trying to think of other speculations, but my brain isn't cooperating.
