Tome (toenuff) This is an amazing read. It's an interview with Yann Martel that goes into great depth about his thoughts and intentions for the book.

I love how he says that the entire book came to him in 20 minutes including nearly every part of Pi's life, survival, and aftermath, but then the book took 4 years to research and write.

I also love the story behind why Richard Parker is named Richard Parker.

I would strongly suggest finishing the book before reading it. Sort-of-spoilers a plenty.
