The book poll has 8 votes, but there are 14 members. How are we supposed to get EVERYONE to vote?
Not sure I don't understand why they don't it only takes 2 secconds maby we should say you can't be in this group if you don't vote?
I've sent invites for the poll, and the two members that joined recently voted, but maybe it was due to the message I included, but maybe not.
I sent out another invite with a message saying the poll ends in three days, and it takes two seconds to vote, but those five remaining members haven't voted. Any other ideas? I really want to get this group going.
I know you said moderators only, but I have an idea for getting more members. You could put your group up as a featured group. Also for the pole problem, you could message each of them personally. invitations only shows up in your notifications, and then disappear after a while. But If you send a message to them it will stay there until they look at it.
Thanks for your input, but I've sent invitations with a message. How do you make it a featured group, btw?
you might want to join the moderators club. (i forget how to feature a group, so i will get back to you in a sec)
I've asked to join. Also, if you have any ideas to make this group better, you can post in the recommendations for the group topic.
Life gets in the way sometimes, and that's okay. Could you help me get this group going though, Beth? This group needs some expanding. It needs more topics, for one, any ideas?

Hey, girls. Every time a poll is put up, only a few people vote, so I was looking at a poll in another group, and they have their book polls open for a WHOLE month before the book read. If we do the same, we will most definitely get more votes because people will actually have a chance to vote. What do you two think?

There's a couple of comments now but we could just go for a poll if you want? Shall I start a forum for October suggestions?

Not yet, give other people a chance to comment their suggestions. Also, Shane commented on the suggestions topic: Cinder, I'm not sure if that's a fantasy or not. A October forum is a good idea.

The main premise is about a cyborg who lives in a futuristic China, but it's retelling of Cinderella, so that's leaning towards sci-fi more than fantasy.

Good deal. I generally think of fantasy having magic and sci-fi with science elements.

That's a pretty intense book for study purposes :o although I think I'm doing a unit next year which might require that, oh gosh.

I've already read the Hobbit too, plus Fellowship, but I'm reading the series over (or try to). And good luck on your unit!

I've had an idea of creating a sci-fi book club, but I don't have much time for two book clubs. What if we turned this group into a fantasy sci-fi book club since the two are generally merged? Thoughts?

Ah haha okay, depends where you are, some places there are a perfect 12 hours behind me so that's my go-to time difference calculations aha :p
