Teagan bit his lip and waited for her reply. But there came none. Oh God. She was judging him. She was judging Rosie. She was thinking that he was awful for having had sex at such a young age. To have let it happen in the first place. She was probably one of those girls who believed so strongly in abortion. Well that would be one thing the two did not share in common, if even, she thought that way. “Daddy!” Rosie squealed, snapping him out of his thoughts as his eye met his own but on his little girl. “What is it, sweetheart?” He asked softly, trying not to let the hurt rise up into a lump in his throat and to a sting in his eyes. He managed to hold them off, mostly because he desperately wanted to keep his man pride which had pretty much had been stripped off of him ever since Rosie became his little Diva. She leaned up to his ear and whispered something completely uncomprehensible and Teggy could only smile widely and nod. “That's right.” He told her, making her giggle. He wished he still understood baby talk, wouldn't that be simply amazing? To be able to talk to babies in a language that was learned yet so forgotten? Obviously, he knew such language did not in fact exist but when Rosie when off on a roll at times, it made him wonder just what kinds of things she's trying to say. He snapped out of his own thoughts when Ally's voice broke through, making his eyes widen slightly. Did she say yes? Would she actually love to? Or was she just exaggerating it? No matter, she said yes, and he was going to do whatever it took to prove to her that he was still a good guy, that he meant very well. He gave her a happy smile and slowly stood up, setting Rosie down on the ground beside him, keeping her tiny hand in his. He was always so scared of crushing the dainty thing, but he had grown accustomed to holding her hand, leaving his handshakes rather soft and ladylike, something he hadn't really noticed. “Shall we?” He smiled over at Ally, waiting for her.

Ally couldn't keep her eyes off the two. The word daddy was suddenly something real that she didn't just think as someone she looked up to, but not something that meant what probably meant giving up everything. He just looked so gentle with her that it made a sort of warmth run through her veins that made her just want to about out an awe. Probably not the best moment though. Suddenly thoughts of her boyfriend came to mind. How was he with children? Did he even like children? When she imagined it, all she could really see was some baby crying because his grip on their hand was too tight. And here, here she saw Teagan setting his daughter down to the ground so softly and letting her little hand be placed in his much larger one. She pressed her lips together the and was pulled out of her thoughts by his voice. There was that smile of his she was apparently already a sucker for. Guys with great smiles were apparently her weak point. Her boyfriend had a great smile, but Teagan's was much less intimidating and more sweet and sincere. "We shall." She said softly before taking their first steps towards the closet ice cream parlour. A sudden gap of silence fell and she had to think of something to say. Just something, but honestly all the things she could think of were about his situation. Did Rosie have a mother around? Was the mother still with Teagan? How come he hadn't called of texted her? And oh god, was the mother the girl from Walmart? That texter girl who couldn't seem to keep her hands to herself at work? She tried to just push all those things back and instead went with something simple and yet she was sure it wasn't the greatest eye catching question. "So what's your guy's favourite ice cream?" She asked to somehow avoid the silence. Silence just didn't suit well with her whatsoever.

To be honest, it came as a huge surprise to me that Ally had agreed to come along. It surprised me that only after about a half hour in total would get us right here, on our way to go grab ice cream with Rosie. It was such a beautiful day outside but my luck had never been this grand. I watched as she sprang up on her feet and I began to walk, smiling at her for a few moments. If I had to be honest, I didn't mind the silence, the birds were happily keeping my ears occupied and Rosie seemed to be enjoying watching her legs bring her one step closer to that cone of ice cream I knew she wanted very much. But I didn't mind Ally's voice that broke through after a few moments of that pleasant silence. Favorite flavor of ice cream? I couldn't help the chuckle that escaped my lips as I looked ahead, seeing the small stand in the distance. “Well,” I breathed out, looking up at the sky, acutally weighing my choices. “I like strawberry.” I admitted, feeling a little sheepish. Wasn't that a girlie ice cream? Because it's pink and all. Would she think it was girlie? I hoped not. I didn't even know I was getting worked up over every little thing I said around Ally. She was just a girl. She seemed pretty open-minded to things. Unless, that is, she felt obliged to hang around? Does she feel as if she had to say yes? Oh God, that would be humiliating. “I like chocolate!” Rosie blurted out, looking up at Ally with a toothy grin, and I couldn't help but laugh a little, giving a small nod. “Yes, Rosie love anything chocolate, much like a typical girl.” I couldn't help but add, though I was pretty sure that Ally wouldn't take it the wrong way. I hadn't noticed, mostly because I was looking at a group of little boys throwing a football, but Rosie had reached up and took Ally's hand in hers, smiling. When I looked back, I saw what Rosie had done I felt my cheeks heat up a little. “Um...” I swallowed and rubbed the back of my neck biefly. “Sorry..” I mumbled, offering her an apologetic smile.

Ally: I felt a little bit relieved as soon as Teagan went ahead and answered my question with one of his soft laughters I was pretty sure I could grow accustomed to pretty easily. Which was pretty scary to think about. Nevertheless I smiled over at his answer. Strawberry. It might of been dumb of me to make a mental note of that, but I just couldn't help it. It was kind of adorable to hear this guy tell me he liked a pink ice cream. If she were to ask her boyfriend, he really wouldn't have an answer and instead would compensate with, 'ice cream is too frilly of a desert.' "Hmm.. I like strawberry." I said aloud with a small confirmed nod. Then I heard little Rosie yell out she liked chocolate which only made me let out a soft laugh right along side Teagan. It was weird and for a moment out laugh seemed in sync so I pulled away from the tune of my vocal cords. "I absolutely love chocolate." I informed them both as we came closer and closer to the ice cream stand. My eyes wandered a little when I thought it might have been nice if Teagan had held my hand, but that was way too much right? Plus, he was with his daughter for gods sake! What kind of person was I? But then...just then I felt frail little fingers wrap around a couple select fingers of my own. My eyes dilated for only a moment to see Rosie holding my hand now. A warm smile looked down upon her until I heard Teagan apologize. I shook my head lightly. "I really don't mind." I informed him before playfully swinging my arm back in fourth a little for Rosie.

When our laughs seemed to fall in perfect synchronisation, it startled me a little, but nothing too dramatic. I'm just surprised that it was possible for laughs to sound good together. I mean, everyone on this moving earth had a different laugh than the person next to them. Yet, out of all the billions of people on this planet, our laughs seemed to harmonise together. With a happy smile, I glanced down at little Rosie and chuckled at her reply, loving everything about my litle girl. I truly did. She was my pride and joy. By the looks if it, I had done a helluva good job raising her. It was most definitely time well spent. Seeing Rosie's hand in Ally's still made me blush in slight embarrassement, Rosie was kind of unpredictable like that, something I wish I could be more like. I had heard at one point, that you learn a few things as you raise a child. Not only are you teaching them, but they'll teach you in return. So far, all Rosie has taught me was to be patient. I couldn't control when she messed in her diaper (which she were long gone by now), and neither could she control them. So I had to learn to deal with it, and in return, I found I had a much greater patience with everything. Though I could most definitely pass on changing diapers or cleaning up little upchucks of food Rosie refused to digest or when I burped her. I heard Rosie giggle and looked over to see Ally swinging their hands back and forth and I found myself doing the same thing. Soon enough, we arrivd at the little shack and with a polite smile,I went ahead, “Um...one scoop of chocolate...same thingg with strawberry and uh..” I glanced over at Ally, smiling a little shyly, “I'm not sure what the pretty girl would like..” I told him honestly as I took my wallet out and dropped the estimated amount of money, this place wasn't too expensive, which is why I love coming here.Either way, there was not a chance I was letting her pay.

I honestly could have gone on walking like this with Rosie's tender hand in mine and Teagan next to me. There was a sort of peace I couldn't explain which was crazy...right? I mean, I literally just met the guy at Walmart, he helped me out, we exchanged numbers, I didn't get a call, and now here I was finding out he had a daughter the whole time and yet, I was seemingly okay with everything. It was just unexplainable. But hey, how could I argue with it? I decided to just put this situation into the fate of the gods. A little fate didn't hurt. My eyes were a little bit glued towards Rosie as I heard her giggle one of those little kid giggles that someone just couldn't ever get tired of. It made my smile widened and another soft laugh escaped my lips. I glanced over to Teagan's now rocking hand on Rosie's and a warmth spread within me. I was pretty sure this guy wasn't going to stop making my heart melt anytime soon. Upon coming to the little ice cream shack that was covered in bright colors, I finally looked up when I heard Teagan begin to speak and I was already searching through my pocket to grab some money when I heard his second set of words which instantly had my eyes blinking before glancing around innocently as if there was a prettier girl around. My other thought was that he was speaking about Rosie, but he had already gotten her her chocolate. In that moment, I mentally begged no blood to rush to my cheeks. Just, please no. Please, but I could already feel my cheeks heating up. Avoiding all eye contact. All eye contact avoided. "Um..I can..I can..." I started to get my money. Now, it wasn't like I was that girl who believed no guy should ever have to pay for me or whatever, but I had only just met this guy. I sucked in a breath though and figured I would just go with it for now. "Chocolate is fine with me.." I answered with flushed cheeks in a rather shy smile. "Thanks.." I murmured softly.
