[ Personality ] Despite all of the problems she's had in her past, Stella isn't vulnerable. She's tough, and she knows that she's special, even by mutant standards. Stella may have her mental deficiencies, but she's still hard to upset and tougher than nails. She's crazy, in a sense, never wants to do things the normal way. Stella is absolutely, one hundred percent fun, no doubt. She has her problems, but she is definitely easy to hang around.

[ Background info ] Stella was a test tube baby in a Manchester branch of the school. She grew up there, but she was treated horribly. Even by mutants' standards, she was unlucky. Experiments, dangerous ones, were often made on her, and they always left Stella horribly afraid, unhealthy, and beyond sick. Ever since her breakout, though, she's gotten better, and the only health problems she possesses are the matter of wings, and her mental mutation that often causes her to lose control of herself. Stella had been living on her own for a while, after fleeing Manchester and the school, and decided to try America. Who knew, it was supposed to be a free land, there couldn't possibly be a school there. Unfortunately, there was, and Stella was cast right back into the world of harsh experiments that always left her worse than before.

[ Special talents ] Stella is a siren, in a manner of speaking. Her voice is enchanting to anyone who hears it, and she's capable of controlling people's thoughts and actions through her singing. This ability allows Stella to heal, wound, and control people. She also has a very quick mind, she's very intelligent, more so than most people, because of a mutation in her brain.

Personality: A natural leader, Crow tries to be fair and deals with things the best he can, trying to keep everyone(but himself) happy. If someone wants to do something that would help them but hurt him, he lets them. He's easily taken for granted, since he always helps however he can.

Background info: As an 'add-on' he was tested on in the school, increasing his physical and genetic abilities. He'd escaped twice, then went into foster care for awhile, trading abusive family after abusive family, and has been violated and raped by the female foster parents several times, and he generally was treated, and feels like garbage. He cut himself, and still does sometimes, regularly. Has considered suicide in the past.

History: Madilyn was born in the school and immediately given wings. Her mother was the main Whitecoat and she would put Madilyn through the toughest tests and punishments. Madilyn finally escaped the school when she was 16 and she will occasionally have nightmares about her memories.

Tawny's wings are actually blue, with varying shades of dark and light. They're long, roughly thirteen or fourteen feet when fully stretched out, and fold neatly against her back.

[ Personality ] Tawny is a very easy, go with the flow kind of girl. She's laid back, but always watching. It would only take one slip up to lose credit with her, which is very hard to earn back. Tawny judges, and she judges hard. From an outside glance, she's a beautiful girl who'll do anything to protect other people, but on the inside, she's cold and slightly heartless. Not necessarily to people she likes, but if Tawny hates you, you'd better hope you're wearing something bulletproof. Despite this, everyone seems to like her, which she doesn't quite understand. Tawny tries desperately to push people away, keep them from getting hurt by her, but that doesn't usually work out too well. She seems to have some sort of magnet in her that draws people to her. Tawny is intelligent, intimidatingly so. You'd be hard pressed to find something she doesn't know, or aspire to one day know. Tawny is sarcastic to the very end, and the vast majority of the things she says aren't serious, which makes her a very hard person to talk to. Yet, somehow, she finds herself drawn into conversations quite easily.

[ Background info ] Tawny was born into one of the richest families in the world, in Stockholm, Sweden. She'd been primped, pampered, and everything in life was handed to her on a silver platter for the first six years of her life. Her parents had adored her, the only child that they'd been told they'd never be able to have.

Yet even so, with such a perfect life, Tawny had been unhappy. Her parents never had time for her, and that was all the young girl had ever wanted; parents who paid attention to her. Even at age six, Tawny had hardly ever seen her parents. They seemed like distant figures, people she'd heard about but never known, only seeing them on birthdays and holidays. In the end, that helped Tawny immensely.

When the house caught on fire one day, all inhabitants had been killed. All of them were dead, caught in the horrible fire, of which the cause is unknown, to this day. Tawny had been lucky. Though she had been caught in the fire, she'd been rescued just before it had been too late. Of course, it wasn't a firefighter who saved the little girl, it was a whitecoat. They'd left everyone in the house to die, saving only the little girl, and throwing her into their experiments. Tawny had been in horrible condition, close to death, but they managed to save her. Not only did they graft wings onto her, but they amputated the leg that had been burned beyond repair.

Tawny hadn't thought of the school as bad people; they'd saved her, in fact. They'd given her life where life was almost gone. So how could she hate them?

Easy, they experimented on her. Tawny had been brutally experimented on, and suddenly, the school was evil. They weren't her saviors anymore, they were her captors. Though they had saved her life, they'd ruined it after that. Tawny lived, if you could call it living, in the Stockholm branch of the school for the next six years, until she was twelve. When she found the opportunity to escape, she seized it, and fled to the US on her wings, which she didn't have much experience with.

Though Tawny did have a few months of freedom, her leg eventually gave her away to the school. They seized her, and then it was back to the school she went, with more experiments and more pain. They were more merciless on her than they were for anyone, because she was one of the few mutants who didn't understand when they spoke to each other. At that point in her life, Tawny hadn't spoken a word of English, so the scientists in America could freely converse and she wouldn't know anything better of it, wouldn't fight. Tawny had still been reluctant to hate the school, since they'd saved her life, but she came to hate it with time.

~ Telekinesis: This ability allows the user to move objects with their minds. This is particularly useful for Tawny, as she can't move very quickly with her prosthetic leg, or fight nearly as well as everyone else.
~ Persuasion: This ability allows the user to suggest ideas to the victim, and make the victim more likely to follow through with them. This ability is very pronounced in Tawny; she's quite good at it.

Personality:Lee is a very sweet, yet quiet individual. He is extremely shy and is usually blushing or hiding his face when he talks to others. Especially girls. Lee also does NOT like to talk about his past, nor be reminded of it, considering it haunts him to this day.

Background Info:Lee was raised by a poor family in Canada. And you see, Lee was always different from other children. He doesn't always see things normally, since he has Sound-Color Synesthesia. Which means he sees different colors when he hears different sounds. But before the whitecoats diagnosed him with it, he was always thinking he was even more of a freak than he already was. He had lived in the school ever since he was 8. But when he escaped at the age of 12 and found his parents, he was immediately rejected and shunned, being sent away to live with his uncle. His uncle had tried to kill him by burning him alive since he hated people who were different, but he just barely made it out with his life. Lee was then captured by the School again, and had recently escaped once again.

Personality: Rain is a very confidant and strong person, though she has major trust issues when it comes to anyone outside of her flock. If anyone threatens her or her flock they better hope they can run fast, because she takes the protection of her flock very seriously.
She's not the best when it comes to comforting crying people, for some reason it freaks her out.
Overall Rain is a very loyal, trustworthy, calm, level headed, caring, strong, and protective person.

Background: As far as Rain knows she was born in the School, since her first thoughts were of that hell hole.
She was experimanted on extensively; Hours of tests, hundreds or shots, many drills and exercises that she preformed to perfection. Since she was considered "special" by the whitcoats standards, she was kept in solitary untill the age of thirteen when all her training was put to the test.
From that age on untill she escaped she was forced to fight to the death against other mutants. She never lost.
She waited and watched and when the time was right, and at the age of sixteen, she made her escape, swearing she'd never do their bidding again.

Personality: A nice guy, Kage has a fascination with quiet women, the color purple, and panda bears. He is polite, and usually fun to be around, as he jokes and laughs a lot. Although, he has violent phases when something he doesn't like happens. He has a hidden dislike of men, and always blames them first.

Background info: Kage and his sister were orphans in LA, wandering around the streets. One day, they were jumped by a group Kage couldn't give a thrashing to, and his sister was raped and murdered in front of him. He was captured by the school and experimented on with bat DNA, giving him extremely good hearing. He isn't blind, however. His are bat wings, not birds, and as a result, he was beaten after he escaped by a priest, for being a demon child.

Special talents: Controls shadows. Able to solidify them to attack with, and turn into one for a short period. Can heal by drinking blood. Has sharpened canine fangs for this purpose.

Appearance: She has an overall a light appearance. With light blonde hair, and light green eyes, she seems to fit her personality quite well. She stands about 5'8 with a paler complexion that goes with her hair color well.


Wing appearance: Her wings are too, light. They are a light brown around the outer edges and fade into a yellow framing the inner portion of her wings. Her wingspan is about 13ft.


Personality: Phoebe is a very calm and peaceful person. She doesn't believe in violence, no matter what. She would risk anything for another person and gives more than she should. Phoebe is very selfless and optimist, always helping others. She's also stubborn and nobody does what she wants there's no convincing her otherwise. Though she may be quiet she is not shy. She wont walk up to a person and start a conversation, but if the person came to her, she is very open and friendly. Her personality is almost the opposite of a normal bird kids, she even has a different view on the school. It's hard to make her angry and she almost never raises her voice. Really she's a kind, smart, down-to-earth person.

History: Before the experiment,before the school she lived in Wisconsin with her family. Mother, father, her brother Jamie and sister, Persephone. Phoebe was five heading off to her for last day of preschool. Riding the bus with a bunch of other kids from Pillsburgh elementary the crash was the last thing any of them suspected. The bus driver had passed out while driving, sending the bus through a tall office building. Several of the kids and few adults were killed luckily--or perhaps unluckily-- Phoebe wasn't one of them. But the crash left her paralyzed and with severe head injuries, she was hospitalized immediately.

Phoebe spent time in a short coma, or what was supposed to be short. The "doctors" (scientists in disguise) slipped a drug into her IV to keep her under. It was then they told her parents that she wasnt responding, that she wasnt going to wake up. Devastated, her parents had no choice but to take her off the life support. Her parents then sent her to the school in Germany, far from home so no one would ever suspect anything.

Unable to walk Phoebe was a perfect specimen test on, To prove to the world that anything really was possible. She woke up alone in a dog crate, her legs weren't moving and she started to panic. That's when a lady in a white coat came in to retrieve her with two men who didn't look normal. Of course she was freaking out and tried to move to the back of the cage but her little six-year-old arms would only move so far so fast. Surprisingly they treated her with care, compassion even to gain her trust. It's time, two years, for them to finally get it right, she had her legs back but the experiments had been painful. She has scars all along her spine and legs. She still had trouble walking and running, having to relearn it all again. Being trapped in a cage didnt help, but she had to learn fast otherwise she was eraser chow or shocked when sent through mazes.

But that wasnt enough was it? It never just stopped there, they had to push it further. The School had to prove anything really was possible. Next was disease, they wanted to show that they could cure anything to make the world a better, cleaner place. They injected Phoebe with hundreds of viruses, exposed her to diseases and parasites. Not all at once, gradually but they weren't able to cure everything. Most of it was fixable, cured. Turns out everything wasnt possible, now Phoebe would suffer from it. She looks and acts healthy, but everything in her body is fighting with itself. She's slowly dying.

Her immune system is slowly dissolving. Phoebes body is shutting down, stopping piece by piece. She no longer has a sense of smell and no longer grows. Meaning she won't ever get taller, her hair wont grow longer and nails are stuck as chewed stumps. What next? Will her organs start to fail? Will she go deaf? Blind? Death is always near her and can take her at any time.

Phoebe managed to escape the German school branch and make it to America, wanting to be as far from them as possible. There, she found the Crescent flock and bonded with them. Though she wasnt in the school with them, nor did she escape with them, she finds that she trusts them.

Special talent: When she touches something she can see its genetic make up. Not very useful in a fight but a good way to tell if something's poisoned. It's kept her alive many times. She can also see everything she touches if she looks past it's genetic make up

Personality: Mila is an intelligent and determined girl who always seems to be trying to fix well, everything. She is very responsible and organized, so if many things go unplanned, she's frazzled.
Another trait of Mila's is slight social awkwardness. (Being locked in a cage for practically your whole life, and having an advanced intellect can do that to you.) Sometimes when she talks to people, she has trouble finding common ground. Anyway, aside from being socially-inept, she always speaks truthfully of her beliefs, but in a way that won't leave absolutely any chance of argument(backs herself with cold hard facts).
Sadly, like all mutants, she is jaded by past experiences(seeing human experimentation/torture), but is refreshingly innocent and oblivious in other things(anything involving dating/relationships).
She's not a bad fighter, she can defend herself rather well. But, she's not going to try to provoke any situations involving the need to.
Surprisingly, she has a sense of humor that's quite witty and sarcastic. But she only exposes it when she truly trusts someone.

Background info: Mila was born a test-tube baby at the School. After about four years, they sent her to Germany for special experimenting and tests. They recognized her advanced intellect and decided to try and further it with tests. The result was her special talents. Along the way, she learned many languages: German, Latin, Greek, Japanese, French, and Spanish. Around her 15th 'birthday', the location in Germany shipped her back to the School and she never heard anything of them again. For two more years, she tried to bear with the torture but couldn't take it anymore. So, she escaped with the Duskfall flock and has been with them ever since.

Special talents: After the Germans tampered with her brain, they somehow tapped her into some sort of electrical wave, causing her to be able to control technology and somewhat communicate through her mind to others (doesn't always work correctly). She's also able to learn abnormally fast and retain information like a human encyclopedia.

Personality: Darcy is extremely shy and timid. She has scars and bruises all over her and she is super skinny from the abuse that she was put through from the whitecoat that raised her. She is a very sweet girl once you get close to her.

Background info: Darcy stayed in the school with her brother, Derek. She was taken away one day and convinced that Derek was dead. Derek, on the other hand, was convinced that Darcy was dead. She was then raised by a whitecoat who abused her everyday. He would starve her and beat her. She is covered in scars and bruises from him.

Special Power: Darcy has the ability to read minds. She rarely uses her power.

Personality: Noah is rather distant towards others, he has made a habit of being self-absorbed and introverted. That isn't to say that he doesn't care about anyone else, he just prefers to keep to himself. If you give him the chance, Noah is known to be kind- excluding the fact he can be just a tad sarcastic. He's intelligent and philosophical for his age.
Background info: As he was born, you could say he was a mistake. An accident. His parents didn't have the time, or the money, to raise him properly. They were given the false information that The School was an adoption agency. And so, his parents thoughtfully gave him up, believing that he would be given to a caring family. It of course never happened, and they never found that out. Noah had been at The School since he was a few months old, and escaped later on with another group of avian kids.

Personality: She very blunt, to the point that she will tend to hurt people's feelings sometimes. She really doesn't mean to, she wishes that she was nice but she had no filter. So she's not really good around people and tends to try avoid them. If someone needs her help though, she will automatically do what she can. If you can see past her bluntness she can be very sweet, and kinda shy.

Background info: She was born in the School as an experiment for mixing DNA with smaller birds. Her DNA is mixed with that of a bluejay. She managed to escape on her own when she was 12 and has been trying to avoid the School ever since. She moves from city to city or stays in the woods in the trees. Occasionally she will run into different flocks but doesn't stay very long.

Background info: As boy Tyler was always made fun of but that all changed the day that THE SCHOOL approached him. They told him that he had been Chosen to take part in a new project of theirs and that if he participated no one would ever be able to pick on him again, hearing this he agreed with out a second thought. He doesn't remember much of what happened afterwords but what he does remember is waking up in a cold concrete room with huge dark red wings, that reminded him of bloody angel wings.

Jay enjoys life and lives it while he can. He knows when to be serious, even if it seems like he's joking off and having fun too much of the time. He can get paranoid and is very cautious. He's a good friend to have; Trustworthy and loyal. He has nightmares at night of the School, but tries not to let it bother him. He can usually manage to keep a cool head, though if you push him to hard(And if it's been a rough and hard day), you can make him snap, where his temper breaks loose.

{Background Info:} He escaped the School only a few months ago(Around 6-8), with a lot of luck. He's tried to find his family, but hasn't dedicated his life to it. After all, what if they'd given him to the School?
He goes from town to town, staying wherever he can for a short while. While he's there, he gets a job that he can make some money off of, just enough for him to feed himself and stock up supplies in his backpack. He's never actually had a family or friends, so those are new to him(Especially if they aren't a raccoon).

~Can communicate/talk to/understand animals. He talks to them in normal, human language, but they still know what he says. As for understanding them, it like having them speak inside his head. Personality: Used to be very loudmouthed and talkative. Now he keeps to himself a lot but has a short temper and can get angry easily. His old personality can show through sometimes but for the most part he lives in his own little world. He doesn't know yet that he looks younger yet.

Background info: he worked for the FBI for 13 years until one day he was investigating a house where an unknown person had tipped them off that there were guns hidden. Jesse was looking in a shed in the backyard and the moment he saw the guns the house behind him exploded. He got shrapnel in his chest and was rushed to the hospital, he went into a coma for two months. After two months he still wasn't doing well so the government took him and he was declared dead. The government did research on him and after a while revived him, they made him look 15 years younger and they messed with his brain, giving him special powers. When Jesse woke up he learned that his girlfriend, who he had just proposed to, had died in the explosion. Then he was locked in a cell for many months and tested. Jesse learned that he had black wings. He escaped the government facility and ran away. He hasn't seen what he looks like yet. He rescued a raven when he was on the run and trained it to do things (ie. get food, come to him, exc) He found the refugee flock using his powers.

Personality:
Finn is a cheeky boy with a witty and sarcastic sense of humor. He tends to flirt- quite a lot, actually. If he sees a pretty girl, he'll instantly go into this cool, flirtatious, show-off mode. It's kind of "cute" once you get used to it. Honestly, he really isn't that intelligent, academically at least. Finn has great instincts and sense though. His temper is short-fused, buy you'd never guess it due to how chill and laid-back he is. If you tick him off, he'll really be .. well, dangerous. Sometimes violently so. This also means to watch how you act around people he's close to. He becomes very protective, very easily. Although practically everyone he meets assumes he's a jerk, he's constantly putting himself last. Finn cares a lot about all of the people he loves.


Background info:
He forgot everything in his past after being sent to the school to be experimented on. Despite that, Finn tries to pick up the pieces of his history everyday, searching for answers. The only fragment from his past that he has is a rustic but pure gold pocket watch, that forever ticks. When opened it plays a melodic lullaby, similar to a music box sound. He carries it everywhere with him- it's a bit of a weak spot.

[Personality]: Jev would appear to most people as the strong and silent type. Though when you get to know him "silent" wouldn't quite fit since he is never afraid to speak his mind. He has a naturally sarcastic and witty personality/sense of humor. He is a very strong leader with a short temper when it comes to those who oppose him, but is very calm and patient with those he loves and cares for. Overall Jev is very friendly, caring, and protective of those he knows.

[Background Info]: While in the School Jev was being trained as sort of a military weapon that the School would sell to the highest bidder. He was trained in many forms of combat and is considered a deadly weapon. To make him so strong he was tested on extensively. Injected with weird substances, put through hours and hours of cruel training/testing. Basically put trough the worst hell imaginable.
