1.) This book is about a girl trying to deal with her special magic power, finding her love, Kartik when danger is approaching, and dealing with the difficulty of her mysterious past.
2.) The mysterious, mute girl tries to tell Gemma what happened to Eugenia Spence,but Gemma doesn't know if she should trust her.
3.) Gemma thought Kartik meant the whole world to her, but when she found out he was only paid to spy on her, she broke off in hysterics.
4.) Gemma was suspicous of Pippa, Felicity's lesbian friend;therefore, Pippa was ferocious and somehow got some power from the winterlands to force Gemma and her friends to listen to her.

1.) Nicholas Flamel is trying to teach Sophie how to use her powers, and trying to awaken Joshes powers, also escaping Dr. Dee and Machiavelli.
