SOLVED. Two people found frozen in the ice from a previous civilization [s]

I think I read this sometime in the eighties. A science fiction where scientist manage to wake them up and merge I think get into their minds to fond out what happened.

Could it be The Ice People by Rene Barjavel? It was first published in France as La Nuit des Temps in 1968. However, scientists only woke up one person, Elea, at first, and she spoke to them via a translating computer. She was from Gondawa.

I second Pam's recommendation. They don't wake the guy up, because he's damaged - and there's some cold-war stuff going on, since the ice-people have really great technology (for example, they are unable to eat food grown from plants).
