Summer Residential Music Camp
Natural Ear Residential Music Camp began in 2001 to stretch the camp out to include the live music scene on a daily basis.
Kids from all over the world come to stay in the beautiful Hill Country, sleep late (so they can stay up late) to catch the music that makes Austin, Texas famous.
12 days of nonstop rocknroll lifestyle, including all meals at local restaurants… NO DORM FOOD! July 12 - 24, ages 13-18; coached by Austin's most amazing musicians.
Final performance will be onstage at a local music venue. Check out the videos!

The kids can stay on their particular chosen instrument, or switch around. The songs are chosen by the coach, so the material is always upbeat and challenging, with no dark songs of depression, no drug references. Even the most jaded and nihilistic teenager can't resist after a while - this stuff is just fun to play.

NOTE: Any students who misbehave, endangering the group or themselves will lose their outing privileges immediately. Any students caught drinking, smoking ANYTHING or engaging in ANY sexual behavior beyond handholding will be put on the first plane home, with NO REFUNDS, NO FOOLING, NO EXCEPTIONS. All of these activities are AGAINST THE LAW for minors in Texas (except handholding)

MORE INFO: Natural Ear Music Camp will furnish the PA and a drum kit for each group. Guitar amps, guitars, basses, keyboards, stands, microphones, CD players, cords, straps, picks and strings will be the responsibility of the campers (rentals are available from the Music Lab). Beginning groups will pick their songs from a list provided by Natural Ear Music. Advanced bands will negotiate material choice.
