Question about adding e-books

All four of my books are entered on goodreads. They are all e-books at the moment...soon to be available in print. They are all available at Smashwords and other retailers. Is there a way to link the 20% free at Smashwords to goodreads or do I need to download a separate sample?

You can upload an excerpt (will ask what percentage you want to let members read).

As soon as you know the information requested in http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/8... — you can add your paperbacks and combine each with its respective ebook edition.

Don't have to wait for publication; if not familiar or comfortable with adding, you can post the info over in librarian group and the books will be added.

Can I upload an excerpt directly from Smashwords or do I need to download it onto my computer and then upload it to Goodreads?

You will need to upload from your computer.

As the author you will also always see the full book, if you want to check only a certain % is viewable you need to look while logged out of GR
