"What about you," Abby asked, "I know that you don't like to wear them but they wont let us in if the girls aren't wearing dresses."

Akira thought for awhile, really not wanting to wear a dress. "But I don't wanna..." she whined, pouting. "Can't I wear jeans or something?"

"Buuuut still..." Akira said, flopping to the side. "Dresses look weird on me." she mumbled, remembering back then. In kindergarten, there was this jerky kid that always bullied her. He would call her names and throw her indoor shoes in the trash, not that she cared though. One day there was a dance at the school for all ages, and her grandma made her go in a dress. The jerk said that it looked ugly on her. Dresses, skirts, frilly things didn't fit her. Even though the words didn't bother her, she ended up believing him.
