How to mark up a slightly different edition?

To append two books together, click the 'combine' button (right-hand top corner of any book page) - a combining page loads. Check the boxes next to the two entries which are editions of the same work, and then click the 'combine' button at the top or the bottom of the page.
You can only combine two editions if they have the same first author, so, if you're having trouble, check author order.

Sarah, yes please.
Before applying to be a librarian, I'd envisaged that I'd be dipping my toes gently into the water... adding the odd book cover and so on; but the dip turned into a dive ;) My first day has been a steep learning curve, and I shan't attempt any more today.
Furthermore netting has been dogged here by powercuts and stuttery a net connection, great fun.

It meets my OCD needs perfectly! Better than crossword puzzles & Sudoku!

I know EXACTLY what you mean!!

Hi Sara, after a night of rebooting the brain (i.e. 'sleep') I've checked the 10-digit ISBN number, and also the 13-digit bar-code, and both match up.
What I think must have happened is that the copy in my hand was purchased in Landmark, Madras for Rs.200/-.
It is published by "Penguin Books India (P) Ltd".
This explains, I think, why information such as number of pages differs.
Interesting.
What do we do here?
Regards
John

Be As You Are
when I spotted that the edition in my hand carries a different date to the one entered, and it also contains a different number of pages.
So it is a different book, right?
I'm currently having difficulty determining how one appends my title to the one already entered.
