Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments I think you've already been here:

Steady Past Your Granny's

Crutches For Ducks

There's a new compilation due out in a couple of months called 'A Kick at the Pantry Door' but I'm not quite there yet.

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Patti, I don't know if you were including my Maureen books in your short story/novella challenge but, if you are, A Letter for Maureen is free to grab at the moment.

Grabbed at the end of January. Thanks! I'll move it to the collection.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments So, I was expecting to read a lot more than I did in Dubai and I've been struggling to find reading time since my return.

Currently, when I get a chance to actually sit and read for an hour instead of just a few minutes before falling asleep, I'm alternating between a couple of full length novels and our author's short stories.

Please feel free to keep the reccies coming.

David Wailing | 834 comments Hi Patti, I've just spotted this thread. I think you've already read some of the Auto series, possibly all of them? If not, they're all listed here:

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Thanks David. Love the Auto series. Think I still have the latest in my TBR.

I'm probably a little late here, but I have a couple to offer.

Fried Fox and English Rat are two shorts coming in at around 24500 words.

The other is a novella and maybe a little too long in respect to what you're looking for. It's 45500 words, or around 143 pages. It's called Mongoose Variation.

Lexie Conyngham | 1297 comments I assume you're just swamped by now, but this is (so far) exclusive to Good Reads! (that is, till I sort out how to post it on a short story website I've found ...)

http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...

It's only 3-4,000 words, honestly!
