How can I update the cover of my book?

I've republished my book with a new cover. But Goodreads website doesn't allow me to delete the old cover. I've uploaded the new cover, but it's useless because it's not displayed. When I try to delete the old cover, it says I must be a librarian. I thought I was a librarian ... Can you help?

We don't replace covers that have been published. We can create an alternate cover edition and then you can set it as the primary edition (the one that shows up when people search for the book). If you provide a link to the new cover (not from a bookseller site) I can take care of it for you.

@Owen, once alternate cover editions in place, you don't have To do anything. If you don't set the new cover (or any edition) as primary edition goodreads just uses the most popular edition. If you want, you can choose which edition/cover is featured (on author page, searches, etc., what goodreads calls the "primary edition" or "default edition.") — likely you'd rather the new bookcover was the one showing.

It worked. Although my dashboard shows the old cover, I think it's okay. Thanks again. You are great.
I made alternate cover editions for the paperback and the kindle edition.Do the new bookcover editions need a new publication date? Anything noted about being a "2nd edition" or "revised edition" type of reference (not necessary if only cover was changed)?

If searching by book title and clicking on the edition thumbnails show the covers you want, then it worked and will just take some time to completely roll out.
