Great question (and thank you for posting this group to the listserv)! A few friends and I decided to start the group and I didn't participate last year, so I thought we'd figure it out as we went. If anyone else has done this challenge with Goodreads before, feel free to guide us!

Gayle, I see an option to "Invite People" on the upper right of the page when I'm at the main Hub Reading Challenge page. Try looking there and see if that works.

From the main group page, click "invite" on the right side of the "Members" header.

Great questi..."
I haven't done this before, but I've been playing around with the Hub home page, etc. Maybe you guys can figure out how to use what I've done.
1. I set up a separate list for an award--did first the Alex Award. So, from the home page everyone can see/choose the books on the Alex list. I am willing to also set up the other awards if this is something we can use. Members can choose from that list and mark as "Currently Reading." You can also click on the specific book and, if we want to choose a "Discussion Leader" for that book it is visible.
2. Click on the "Members" page and you can view who is currently reading the same book that you are reading in case you want to discuss one on one, or just know who's reading what.
3. In the "Discussions" page set up a new discussion for each title-not sure who/when would do this? But then you have the place to go to discuss a specific book.
Sorry, about changing the look of the Hub home page with the first list of books. Just needed to see how it would look/work. I can delete the list if we decide that this isn't needed. Let me know if you want me to add the other list winners and I will.
Thanks
Gayle

(I'm assuming you are already know about the lists of book options, and info about the challenge here: http://www.yalsa.ala.org/thehub/2013/...)
Gayle

Thanks
Gayle

Hi Gayle. You're welcome to stay and discuss with us whatever books you are able to get. No pressure.
But, if you do want to remove yourself, go to the main page of the group: http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/9.... At the top of the page there is a brief description of the group and below it should say "You are a member." Next to that, click on the "edit" link. From there you can click "Leave this group." It will ask you to confirm that you want to leave, so make sure you finish.
I hope that helps.

EDIT: ...except that now it doesn't. Maybe there's a limit to the number of folders? Strange.
YET ANOTHER EDIT: Okay. I found it. When you add a book to the group bookshelf, that's where you can start a discussion about it, and create a new folder.

This is a bit of blatant self promotion, but I couldn't resist sending this to you all! I'm a blogger for Public Libraries Online and am writing about the awards for this challenge.
Take a minute to check it out -- maybe even like it and share it :)
