Okay, so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right as I'm new to this, so if I end up in the sin bin, I'm sorry. My first novel is tears of the fallen. It's a fantasy story on fallen angels. It's been really hard to write, and even harder to promote, but I'm getting there slowly. I've just finished the second part of the series, redemption, so now I'm having a well-earned break to catch up on some reading myself.

I said 'free range' and Ignite's ears perked up, Kelly. She's our resident chicken lady.
We like to egg her on.

Did someone mention Billy Zane???
You can't get around me like that. They're still birds. Here at Beak House we don't like talk like that! If I had a dungeon....
Oh my giddy aunt: I thought we'd fire proofed everything?!?!?! Don't tell me that you forgot to tell the newbie BEFORE she constructed her author home!!! You know how hard it is to retro fit the safety features!!!
Patti? What are you doing with my lovely Gingerlily Spa Candle? I was saving that for a special occasion!

Not there!!!
Oh no, some get some water quick...
I said WATER Peppermint P.!!! NOT VODKA!!!
Nothing private about it.It's a running joke though.
Most of our author threads have been slightly singed at one time or another.
Welcome to the slightly charred club, Kelly! :)
lol, OK thank you, I'll stick around as i'm sure I heard someone say vodkaaaa, but i'm not tidying the mess up!
Ooooooo speaking of vodka....I made homemade limoncello and orangcello this week.
Dead easy and YUMMY!
If you like vodka, you should give it a whirl.
Grate the zest off five or six lemons or oranges. Any citrus fruit would work, I reckon. Be careful not to get any of the pith though. Will make it bitter.Dump the zest into a glass jar with a tightly fitting lid along with oh, a half cup or so of the cheapest vodka you can find. Leave it in a dark place for a couple weeks. I just stuck it in the kitchen cupboard.
After its stewed nicely, strain it through a coffee filter or cheesecloth. So cool the vodka picks up both the flavour and the colour!
Then heat up some sugar syrup. Equal parts white sugar and water. Don't let it boil. Just heat it until all the sugar dissolves.
For a litre of hooch, I used a half cup of sugar.
Pour the strained vodka into a litre sized bottle, add the sugar syrup then top up with vodka until the bottle is full. Keep it in the freezer and serve icy. Drink it sparingly though. It has one heck of a kick!
I like a thimbleful as an accompaniment with espresso.
*drools*
It's an Italian drink. I fell in love with it when I visited Rome. Rather fell in love with Rome, too...
