It's the most amazing feeling... I'm sure you know, Jeanne. I could fly... but I could fall. Anything could happen.

Jeanne (jeanne_voelker) | 50 comments Yes, flying has it's risks, as does love, and travel, and aspiring to do anything we haven't done before. Naturally, I don't recommend taking foolish risks, but no need to be overly fearful either. Enjoy your relationship...spend as much time as you can getting to know each other well in person. Courtship by correspondence cannot give you a real picture of each other. Sometimes it's the little things you need to find out. For example, I could never live with someone who would insist on having a TV or radio playing constantly. You also need to see how the other behaves when under stress. It's easy to get along when everything is going well, but stressful situations often bring out the best or worst in a person.

Dulce (drios009) | 12 comments My greatest fear is being alone. When I was younger, I was a loner, and after that, I thought I needed someone to be there with me, because those were horrible times for me. :(

message 55: by Dulce (new)

Dulce (drios009) | 12 comments Yes, that's exactly how I feel! I try to forget about it all the time, and although I think to myself that it shouldn't bother me, for some reason that loneliness still haunts me. It's horrible.

Dulce (drios009) | 12 comments The thing is, is that I still see those people that used to ignore me back in the day, and even though I talk to some of them, I sometimes feel I should hate them. And now, I'm the one that's isolating myself from everyone else. I don't want it to happen again.

message 57: by Jeanne (new)

Jeanne (jeanne_voelker) | 50 comments Isolation is no fun! We all need some solitude from time to time, but not all the time. The secret is to find friends who are trustworthy and compassionate, then we can be ourselves without getting stomped on.

Dulce (drios009) | 12 comments I know, but it's sometimes hard to find people you can trust.

Trust... Peter Buffet put it nicely, saying something along the lines of, "Trusting people is believing the world has good in it, and not trusting people is believing people are inherently evil."

I liked that. Someone who has come into my life has taught me that people aren't always out to get me. :) He's a very dear friend now. We are the model of platonic friendship

Jeanne (jeanne_voelker) | 50 comments A very important lesson. I'm happy for you and your friendship. I have occasionally made the mistake of being too trusting, but my basic trust in others has also given me my best experiences and opportunities.

maybelater maybelater I'm scared of talking in front a whole bunch of people.. I don't how I can randomly burst out singing in class but when it comes to doing presentations my mind just goes on shut down.

Yeah.. I don't like the stares, they give me the creeps.
