Justin (justinekstrom01) "Oh.... yeah OK it is a save-the-world-quest. But we would have failed to save Tari, which is half of the quest. Wouldn't it be nice to know if she's dead or not?"

Justin (justinekstrom01) Sophia stared out into the city. "I sense something.... lol that sounded so creepy. This way!"

message 803: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Ok, well come on Hope. We need to get to Texas, Tari or no Tari." Matthew reconsidered his comment, realizing it sounded sharp. "Of course, Tari matters, but we can't let all of Hope disappear or let Prometheus destroy the present." He flipped his rings and the panther and leopard reappeared.

Justin (justinekstrom01) Matthew gave the signal and the group flew into the sky. Henry was still in shock from the flying incident. Did he seriously have a chance with December? No, he couldn't think like that. He just had to be himself, and see what happened. Matthew going off about failing the quest freaked him out and put him in a bad mood, but he couldn't help not worrying about Tari dying. He had never really gotten the chance to meet her or know her enough to care. This morning he had been so worked up and rushed. Now, when she might have already died, it didn't even matter to him. He just wanted this to be over and have a happy life with December in Camp Halfblood, with no gods chasing after him or people being consumed by spirits. Just training and relaxation...

message 805: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) Sophia slipped her crystal shattered globe out of her robes, trying to hide it from Avalon. A thin silver arrow pointed in the direction deeper into the dark woods. "Over here. I can feel power..."

message 806: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Yes. Fine... worried about the quest is all. I hope Tari's okay." But his thoughts were elsewhere. He looked at December and couldn't help wishing she were his. He closed his eyes and tried to imagine a better life.

Justin (justinekstrom01) ((we should stop the avalon and sophia rp so we don't get too ahead))

Celie whizzed across the sky, creating rainbow after rainbow. "Isn't this so fun! Cool breeze, warm sun, adventure... I'm so excited!"

Justin (justinekstrom01) "If you foiled our quest I will never have Hope again! Do you want that?" Matthew yelled at Hope.

message 814: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Yell?" Henry asked sheepishly.

message 815: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Ok... so we're just supposed to go on with the quest and do nothing to help her?" Henry looked at the creature in astonishment.

message 816: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Well, daughter of snow actually but... anyways, if we're just supposed to carry on with the quest and ignore that you have taken over Tari fine. Maybe if we finish this, you will get trapped back in Pandora's Jar." Matthew turned away from Hope and continued flying.

message 818: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) Henry laughed. "I hate heat too. Maybe I can..." He took a small cloud from the sky. It hovered over them, rain droplets of cold water. "There." He smiled.

"Ok, since we have proven that I am no good with maps," Matthew began, "Would anyone like to guide us to the evil?"

message 819: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Its either Envy or Gossip, we're not sure. And I'm sure someone here can read a map better than me."

message 820: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) Matthew walked down the sidewalk where he spotted a city map plastic container. He pulled one out and walked back to Rose. "Here you go."

message 821: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) Celie giggled. "That's easy. We need to get to he Wortham theater center. Its closed today, and its huge, so it's the perfect hideout for an evil!" Everyone stared at her. "What? It's totally obvious!"

message 822: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) Celie smiled. "Ooh! I'm hungry. Can we stop at Feast Restaurant? That sounds SO GOOD! Please please pleeeease?!?"

message 823: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) ((at feast restaurant (an actual place in Houston) we have an un scheduled evil fight with Greed))

message 824: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Fine with me." Matthew grinned "Let's go then. Rose, lead the way."

Justin (justinekstrom01) The smell had tempted them long before they had arrived at the restaurant. Henry had never really known how amazing toffee pudding and pork belly could smell until now. The place was beautiful: it resembled a large french cottage. Light shone through large windows revealing gardens of vivid purple pansies.
After waiting for almost half an hour for a place, they were sat at a large table in the center of the restaurant with twelve chairs. The waiter walked up to them calmly, asking individual people what they would like to drink. Suddenly a thirteenth chair appeared. The waitress didn't seem to notice, or care. The man was largely over weight. He wore a black button down shirt and black slacks. Sunglasses shaded his eyes. "Um... is it just me or..." The waiter turned toward Henry. "What would you like to drink, sir." She said as if she would have more fun walking in place listening to a broken record for hours. Henry brushed the thought aside. He was just tired. Somnus kinds hallucinated a lot, right? No big deal. "Water, please."

Justin (justinekstrom01) ((lol a Feast Resaurant review XD: While we are not the average "foodies," this experience is worth reviewing. My family and I spend many nights dinning on different experiences in cuisine. Having traveled to Korea, France, Germany, and the Caribbean, we thrive on finding the local flare and not the tourist laden dining establishments. After spending the day in the museum district, we googled “close food” and found Feast. After reading the reviews and saw ”James Beard” nomination we decided to stop for dinner. Perhaps we should have looked a little closer at when the nominations were made. Perhaps things do not get better with time! The first impression should have been a warning. We arrived at 6:00 and it appeared we were the first diners for the evening. We were greeted with a “hello” and “guess no resi huh” as the nice female stared at the computer screen at the front desk. I could only imagine since we had no reservation, it was problematic for a dinner seating. She clicked on the screen and responded with “guess table one then.” The wait staff was prompt on bringing the menu, water and bread then taking our appetizer request. At no time did she mention house specials, soups, or recommendations. For starters we had Sea Scallops with a Mushroom, Brandy, in Cream Sauce and Salad with Romaine, Cucumber, Radish, Celery, Herbs and Raisins. The scallops had little if no sear, prior to adding sauce and lacked the familiar texture but otherwise had good flavor. The recommended glass of Fino, although served at the correct temperature, had the taste of being open well past the point of serving and limited number of 'palm leaves' on the cask. The salad was fresh but too vinegary for our palates. There seemed to be a delay in arrival of the main course, even after the staff asked about bringing them prior to finishing the appetizers and we told her go ahead. The restaurant was filling up quickly and since we had no reservation, we attempted expediting our meal. For the main course, Crispy Roasted Pork Belly, Potato Cake and Red Cabbage with Apples, Roasted Pork Chop with Bubble and Squeak and Kale, and a Tile Fish on bed of fried Polenta and Squash. To sum up the main courses: Roasted Pork Belly was not crisp and slightly chewy; Pork Chop was a good size but again no searing noted and tough, Tile Fish lacked flavor and was “swimming” in boiled squash that was more of a soup than complimenting side that turned the fired Polenta to mush! While the sides had flavor, all the showcased meats lacked seasoning. Tom said it best, if you have a non-seasoned dish and a seasoned dish, and then add them together; you still have a non-seasoned dish! The last thing I must mention is the establishment is not the most child friendly. Of course this area of Houston is not known for “grab the kids honey and let's go grab a bite.” We had our 10 year old and 1 year old son's with us. Nothing was asked about needing a seat for our 1 year old but I happened to see a high chair as we arrived. Once we were seated, I went and picked up the high chair in front of 3 staff members who graciously moved out of my way, so I could return to our table. Perhaps if we decide to dine here again I will make it a point to make a “resi” and not bring our children.))

Justin (justinekstrom01) As Henry watched the waitress leave, he started to address the others. "Please tell me no one sees the fat guy in black." The man grinned at him, and Henry shivered.

Matthew looked where Henry was pointing and jumped. "Hello, everyone." The man said in a deep sinister voice.

Justin (justinekstrom01) "I understand you are looking for my brother. Well, that won't happen anytime soon. He has told me to finish you. When I saw you were here, I was delighted! A restaurant, just the place for me! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Greed."

message 830: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Don't try fooling me. You think there is another group of twelve teens roaming around the city with a map and magical items?"

message 831: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Yeah right. Like I'm gonna go away." He stood up. All the visitors in the restaurant disappeared. The lights flickered. "My brother gave me a job. And I will finish the job. Starting with you, girl."

***

Suddenly the world seemed to collapse. They were in a world of food. December, Henry, Celie, and Rose were the only demigods around. Greed was two feet taller. His sunglasses were off, revealing pure red eyes. He stared into Henry like he was the appetizer. "Let us begin."

message 832: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Impressive. But not as impressive as this!" Greed shot a rope of sausage at Henry, which rapped him um and clung him to the floor.

Celie lunged at the Evil, throwing rainbow sparkles in his eyes and lifting him up on a rainbow. "This is so fun!" She dodged a line of razor sharp carrots. "My hair! How dare you cut off fifty hairs!!!!!! You just ripped out my soul and put it back upside down!!!!!!!!"

message 833: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) ((gtg))

message 834: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Um... thank you!?!" Celie began to throw more rainbow sparkles and shiny colorful blades at Greed.

message 835: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Ok!! I'll stop talking!" Celie mimed zipping her lips and continued to fight Greed, applying a new coat of eye shadow as she did so.

"Yeah totally fine, I'm just wrapped in a bunch of greasy meat, glued to the floor helplessly." Henry said sarcastically.

message 836: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) Suddenly Greed turned into dust. A brilliant light shined into the room. Henry squinted. The food disappeared. "Um... well that was easy!"

message 837: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Thanks Tari!" Henry yelled at the sky. The group was transported back to the restaurant, and everything went back to normal. Half eaten dishes were set on the table. "Welcome back to the restaurant! How was the fight with Greed?" Matthew asked casually.

message 838: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "I lost all my sparkles." Celie frowned.

message 839: by Justin (last edited Apr 17, 2013 01:27PM) (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Ok we need to get to the warty..." Matthew started. "Wortham Theatre." Celie grinned like she was proud of herself for being able to say two words. "Yeah, that place. Ok, so--" Celie grabbed the map. "First we need to leave the store..." She led the group, buzzing off in directions and unexpected knowledge about the city.

message 840: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) *TIME SKIP: Wortham Theatre*

message 841: by Justin (last edited Apr 20, 2013 05:38AM) (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) Celie was right... and that wasn't good. A fat, green, curly haired Evil was performing on stage with mini warbled goblins at his feet. They seemed to not notice the group as they loudly entered the theatre. The evil seemed to be in the middle of his big speech when he looked at the kids. "...but, Agamemnon has taken a passion for you mad maid, and so-- look! Visitors! Places everyone!!!!!!"
The red curtain closed. If this was all he was going to do, maybe he wouldn't be so bad. The questers took their seats as the lights went out.

"Hello, and welcome to: Torture the Audience! Presented by Gossip."

On second thought, this might not end well.

message 842: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) Brown goblins came rushing down the isle in black ripped tutus screaming at the top of their lungs. "What happened to the "gossip" part?" Matthew yelled at the stage. Gossip came on in a pair of pink overalls. "Theatre is infested with gossip! Susie got the part of the tree, Susie's costume is ugly, Susie slipped on stage. And I have discovered that one of the best ways to torture someone is by putting on a terrible performance!" Matthew shivered as the metal locks clicked closed. No escaping what was about to come.

message 843: by Justin (last edited Apr 20, 2013 05:51AM) (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Of course, another place that I quite like is school. So many people, gossip everywhere! Lucky for you, that is the topic of the play. Enjoy!" Gossip left the stage and re-entered with a giant cannon. This could not be good. He pulled a red string on the cannon and lava sprayed everywhere. Henry tried to stand up and leave, but his arms and legs were instantly encased in metal cuffs.

message 847: by Justin (last edited Apr 21, 2013 08:12AM) (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "That not enough for you?" Gossip laughed maniacally, pressing a giant red button. Nine threatening metal drills advanced toward the questers. Cages of lions and rhinos came trampling through the isles. "Ah, that should be enough!" Gossip pressed a green button and the cuffs over their wrists opened. "Stand up! Don't be scared! We'll only torture you until you die!" The brown warbled goblins in the isles trompled over in front of the stage. "Time for battle!"

message 848: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Yeah, he forgot the sparkles!!! Here, I'll give you some!!" Celie threw some electric rainbow sparkles in Gossip's face.

message 849: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) ((i'm getting tired of battles XD))

message 850: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinekstrom01) "Now we need a key to get out of this place... December, about wen will that melt?"

"WOW this has to be the place." Sophia led Avalon further into the forest. There was a giant temple, cracked down the center, tangled with vines. In the middle was a gold throne, seating a muscly titan. "I see you've found me!" Prometheus laughed. "Welcome to my temple!" ((lets just skip envy XD))
