Oh definitely start! It is shocking because of the abuse and other more "taboo" matters but I honestly only think it is considerations SO shocking because it was written a while ago and was probably one of the first book about the subject.

I've read and LOVED Forbidden-still do. I'm pretty sure I can handle the taboo factor of this book. :)

Kristin | 100 comments I read this back in like middle school so unfortunately I do remember the whole series but I am eager to see how I feel about it now compared to then. Like others said, I don't remember being as upset by it as I probably should have been!

Kristin | 100 comments Oh, and I spend WAY to much time on GR's!

Lauren (Sugar & Snark) | 21 comments I also loved Forbidden it is one of those books that you never forget. I don't even think I managed to review it. (I get like that sometimes when I find books too emotional.) But I am always recommending it to people!

OK now it is time for me to get off GR and do some actual reading! I will check in later ladies :)

Kristin | 100 comments I'm with you guys on Forbidden. There are SO many books that I read and simply forget almost as soon as I'm done. Forbidden is definitely not one of them. I think I'll remember those characters and that ENDING forever! ;(

Same. Here.

Kristin | 100 comments Turns out, that for me at least, there's quite a difference between reading this book at 13 vs 34. The first chapter alone was ridiculously heart wrenching. Or maybe I'm just premenstrual...either one is possible! :)

Hey, idk how to do that hiding a spoiler thing. Someone help?

Lauren (Sugar & Snark) | 21 comments Haha me too! I think I was feeling nostalgic :) But it may have been because the clothes were so bad!
