I remember this book! I read this over 20 years ago. I enjoyed it. It made me feel dirty though. And then I went on to read a bunch more sex books.

I read this book when I was 12 years old. I probably have issues because of it! LOL! But I loved it. It was one of the books that really got me addicted to reading. So I am definitely in for the buddy read :D Are we starting on a specific date? eg. The 1st of Feb?

Yes this is one messed up story and the more emotional support we can get the better!!! But it is one of those book that you will remember for the rest of your life!

I'm excited too. Its been so long I can only really remember the most shocking parts and the fact that I really liked it. I'm surprised I haven't reread it sooner!

Yeah there is a movie but I remember it being really old when I watched it. And that was about 18 years ago. I wonder if you would be able to find it?

Wow, that movie really is old. I actually remember it being pretty decent (I was pretty young mind you) and a fairly accurate representation of the book. Maybe we should rent it after reading the book! Lol
It was released in 1987- now- I was 10- but I'm sure I've seen it since then though...I just remember being totally creeped out by the grandmother- will have to read it, then watch movie again!

I want to finish The Abandoned and The Inquisitor - and I never will if I start a third book. We'll see where I am by next Sunday. I don't want to hold anyone up :)

Confession time - sometimes I get the audiobook instead. The purists don't like it, but I enjoy having the story play out in my head, filling me with image and sound and the author's vision of how events will unfold.
But I have read two simultaneously. When one starts to drag, I pick up the other. That way I'm always reading something.

Which e-reader? I have a Kobo Vox, and I also read on my iPad.
It's definitely messed up, different than I thought it would be so far, but I like it!
