Elizabeth Rose (thesingingroses) | 16 comments I'm looking for around twenty blogs that would be interested in hosting part of a 'blog tour' that I would like to start in March of this year. My woman's fiction novel is set to be released mid-late Feb of 2013, and is a re-telling of Beauty and the Beast with a social justice slant. (I don't want to advertise, so if you need more info, contact me or visit thesingingroses.com). 10% of all author royalties will be donated to local battered women's shelters in Colorado, so your promotions would be for a good cause! What I would do for you is coordinate guest posts for your blog (I would write you a post on a topic that you would choose, as long as it can be loosely tied to the book- anything woman's justice, woman's fiction, domestic abuse, publishing fiction, etc.), answer interviews, and provide incentives only for followers of your blog, such as a specific percentage off retail price or a promise to respond to requests to put my book in their local bookstores through consignment programs (drawing readers from my fans to your blog, and your readers to my product!.

I would also be more than happy to be a 'host blog' for someone else's book tour in return, or save space for you to post an interview or guest post on one of my blogs ( I have one for poetry and one for woman's fiction).

Hannah (normalgirl) | 398 comments Let's say that I say yes to this, what am I obligated to do with these incentives??? I am not understanding this well. I know that I write a blog post about your book and topic, but that's it. Maybe I can write an honest review of your book for this blog promotion? I'm really great at that. Look at my blog and you'll know why. Authors really respond to it.

Elizabeth Rose (thesingingroses) | 16 comments Actually, in the blog tours I've seen, the blog 'host' doesn't write the posts- the author does. The only thing you are obligated to do, as a host, is offer space and maybe a prompt for a guest post or questions for an interview- and then promotion of that post in whatever way seems best to you. Then you can post a review if you wish, but that's all on the blog host.

Though I would be interested in having the book reviewed when it is officially out for print! Those are always useful :D

Simon Denman | 102 comments Hey, I'm game. Not quite sure what's involved but it sounds fun.
My website is www.simondenman.com. I've had it up since August last year (the website) and if the stats from my hosting company can be believed, it's now up to around 1000 unique visits a month - although since my premature babies came home end of December, I've not been blogging as much as before. Hope to get back to once a week very soon though.
Let me know what I need to do.

Thanks
Simon

Elizabeth Rose (thesingingroses) | 16 comments Alright. Two blogs interested- I need at least two more to have a month-long book tour (in which case, I may provide a week long of things for the blogs involved, though I would prefer having a larger number of blogs involved)

Elizabeth Rose (thesingingroses) | 16 comments Alright- three blogs- I need one more for a month long book tour with one blog a week :D OR if more are interested, I can do more than one blog a week/ extend the tour through a couple of months.

Elizabeth Rose (thesingingroses) | 16 comments Still looking for a couple of blogs!

Michelle Hauck (michelle4laughs) | 1 comments I have a series on my blog every week about Getting the Call. This can be the agent/publisher call or why the author decided to self publish. The author shares their stories of inspiration with other writers. If you're interested, you could do a post like this for me and include information about your book and the links to it. Send me a message if you're interested.

Lu (luul) Elizabeth I'd be interseted, I'de like to arrange my own book tour soon but am still learning how they work, so to offer host would be good.

message 14: by K.A. (new)

K.A. Krisko (kakrisko) I just saw this. I live in Colorado and have also written a story that was included in an anthology that donated proceeds to women's shelters. Sounds like a good fit if you are still looking for blog hosts...

Elizabeth Rose (thesingingroses) | 16 comments I messaged L.M., and I can always fit more, K.A. I'll message you as well.

message 16: by Anne-Rae (new)

Anne-Rae Vasquez (annerae) | 3 comments Hi, I would like to participate as well. My blog is www.anne-raevasquez.com . I could also do a write up for Digital Journal (online magazine. Let me know.

Elizabeth Rose (thesingingroses) | 16 comments Sure Anne-Rae! I still have a couple spots open. Email me at author.elizabethrose@gmail.com and let me know what days you typically post and or what days in March are best for you and let me know what you are looking for me to contribute (guest post interview excerpt etc.)

message 18: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Are you still looking for blogs?? My site is a blog turned website (for ease of address) and is www.daybydayliz.com. Please let me know what's involved here.

Elizabeth Rose (thesingingroses) | 16 comments Please email me at author.elizabethrose@gmail.com so I can get you details :)

message 20: by Simon (new)

Simon Denman | 102 comments OK, so mine is up: http://www.simondenman.com/2013/03/09...

If you let me know the links for the other stops of the tour, I can add them at the end if you like.
I think it would make sense for all participating stops to list each other.
I also think you should list the URLS on your website, Elizabeth.

Regards
Simon

Elizabeth Rose (thesingingroses) | 16 comments I do have the links on my wordpress blog, and again on each day, but the website includes the graphic that links to the day's post.

Mary Nickum | 11 comments We've published a young adult fantasy with an anti-bullying theme. What is your URL, Elizabeth? We're also looking for blog hosts to host a book tour.
