Read the article on this link: http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2011/...

What do you think about this? Do you agree? Why or why not?

Brittanie | 3 comments i agree that books actually make you belive that you are a part of them. If you actually get that into a book and can actually relate to the book the bok makes you feel like you are right there in it. If you like a book to the extint that you read all of the authors other books then that means you love it and should continue reading it.

Sedina | 3 comments I agree. If you get into a book enough you feel like its actually happening to you, especially if its something you can relate to

Walker Aurand | 6 comments I think it depeds on the person and how deep into the books you gey into. If your are reading a book you really enjoy. Then the chances of you being more into the book you will feel more apart of the book your reading.

Jonathan Lowe | 3 comments I agree. If you get into a book enough and it really interests you and you can relate to it, it will pull you in

Roselyn | 3 comments I personally agree that once you read a book you later on tend to believe or act as if you are the person in the book. As stated before reading a book after a long day it helps you actually drift off into a world where things are different. The world with no problems only a world of new experiences. Once you start reading and are into the book one can tend to act as the person does in the book. As well as that trying to be like the characters in the book.

Jontae Young (jonyoung2) | 3 comments I agree wholeheartedly! A Child Called It.... i rest my case. That I read in the fifth grade and that changed my life. Empathy for others and their individual situations grew in me not just after i read the book but during the process. I've read many books and i find that empathy grows because book give you the explicit details about the person and their situation so feel the urge to help others in situation similar to that which you read.

Well said, Roselyn. I like how you explained reading as a "drifting off." You would be a good ENGLISH teacher someday! :)

Obedichiza | 2 comments i agree with it because the book I'm reading now is really good so if i start reading at i feel like i don't want to stop because it get me into the mood of wanting to know whats going happen next

Josiah Lagrone | 2 comments I agree fully. Books are supposed to take you on an adventure make you laugh and cry feel the life and emotions of who ever the protagonist is.

message 11: by Kaitlyn (new)

Kaitlyn Quada | 3 comments I feel that if a student or person really connects to a book it is possible for them to get really into it. I am not a huge fan of reading, however, if i enjoy a book i wont put it down.

Taflora (tatem23) | 3 comments i agree because when i read a book i reall like i try to put my self in it or i get a little movie in my head

Walker Aurand | 6 comments I think that reading really can alter your personailty. I think that if people could read books they like. It would have a more positive impact on there life. I think people should try to find a book that they could really enoy. If they do this, then the positive impact on there life could be insermountable.
